故此，他必须在各方面都像他的弟兄们那样，为要在属神的事上成为怜悯人的、忠心的大祭司，好为子民的罪孽献上平息祭。

所以，他凡事该与他的弟兄相同，为要在神的事上成为慈悲忠信的大祭司，为百姓的罪献上挽回祭。

故此，他必須在各方面都像他的弟兄們那樣，為要在屬神的事上成為憐憫人的、忠心的大祭司，好為子民的罪孽獻上平息祭。

故凡事宜如兄弟、得於上帝之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、為民罪作挽回之祭、

故當凡事同於兄弟、為矜恤忠信之祭司長、以事上帝、而贖民罪、

故當凡事同於兄弟、得於天主之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、以贖民罪、

因此、彼不得不與眾兄弟儘量同化、俾在天主臺前、得充一忠心耿耿、富於同情之大司祭且為萬民之罪、而自獻為消怒之犧牲。

所以，我们既然有一位已经越过了诸天的、尊贵的大祭司——神的儿子耶稣，我们就要持守信仰告白；因为我们的大祭司不是不能同情我们的种种软弱，而是在各方面照着与我们相同的样式受过试探，只是没有犯罪。因此，让我们坦然无惧地来到恩典的宝座前，为要得着怜悯，寻见恩典，做为及时的帮助。每一个从人间选出来的大祭司，都是受委任替人办理属神的事，要为罪孽献上礼物和祭物。他能体谅那些不明白而被迷惑的人，因为他自己也被软弱所困。

所以，孩子们既然同属血肉之体，他也照样同有一样的血肉之体，为要藉着死亡来废除那掌握死亡权势的——就是魔鬼，

反而倒空自己，取了奴仆的形像，成为人的样式，以人的形态出现，降卑自己，顺从至死，甚至死在十字架上！

“为了你的民，为了你的圣城，有七十个‘七’被定下了，为要结束罪过，终止罪恶，赎清罪孽，带来永远的公义，封住异象和预言，膏抹至圣所。

这样一位圣洁、没有邪恶、毫无玷污、与罪人分开、高过诸天的大祭司，对我们实在是合宜的。

摩西是做为仆人，对神的全家忠心，为将被述说的事做见证；

公义必作他的束带，信实必作他的腰带。

他对委任他的那一位是忠心的，正如摩西在神的全家也是忠心的。

从前，你们在邪恶的行为中与神隔绝，在意念中与他为敌；

因为那使人分别为圣的，和那些被分别为圣的，都是出于同一位。因这理由，他称他们为弟兄，并不以为耻。

他在十字架上既然消除了仇恨，就藉着十字架使两者得以在一个身体里，与神和好；

这一切都是出于神，他藉着基督使我们与他自己和好，并且把这劝人与他和好的服事工作赐给了我们。这就是说，在基督里，神使世人与自己和好，不把他们的过犯算在他们的身上，又把这和好的福音托付了我们。因此我们是基督的特使，就像神藉着我们在劝告人——我们代替基督请求说：“与神和好吧！”神使那位没有罪的替我们成为罪，好使我们在他里面成为神的义。

这样，我们做神敌人的时候，尚且能藉着神儿子的死与神和好，何况和好以后，难道不更要藉着神儿子的生命得救吗？

所以，我在基督耶稣里，在属神的事上有可夸耀的。

律法委任的大祭司都有软弱，但在律法以后，誓言保证的话语所委任的儿子，却永远完全。
