故凡事宜如兄弟、得於上帝之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、為民罪作挽回之祭、

故當凡事同於兄弟、為矜恤忠信之祭司長、以事上帝、而贖民罪、

故當凡事同於兄弟、得於天主之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、以贖民罪、

因此、彼不得不與眾兄弟儘量同化、俾在天主臺前、得充一忠心耿耿、富於同情之大司祭且為萬民之罪、而自獻為消怒之犧牲。

孩子們既然同有血肉之體，他自己也照樣成為血肉之體，為要藉著死，消滅那掌握死權的魔鬼，

反而倒空自己，取了奴僕的形象，成為人的樣式；既然有人的樣子，就自甘卑微，順服至死，而且死在十字架上。

“為你的同胞和你的聖城，已經定了七十個七，要結束過犯，終止罪惡，遮蓋罪孽，引進永義，封住異象和預言，並且膏抹至聖所（“至聖所”或譯：“至聖者”）。

這樣的一位大祭司，對我們本是合適的。他是聖潔、沒有邪惡、沒有玷污、從罪人中分別出來、高過眾天的。

君王要在節期、月朔、安息日，就是在以色列家一切規定的節日上，奉上燔祭、素祭和奠祭。他要預備贖罪祭、素祭、燔祭和平安祭，為以色列家贖罪。”

祭司宰了公山羊，把血灑在祭壇上作贖罪祭，為所有以色列人贖罪；因為王曾經吩咐要為所有以色列人獻上燔祭和贖罪祭。

摩西不過是個僕人，在神的全家盡忠，為以後要傳講的事作證；

從以色列肥沃的草場上，每二百隻羊中要獻一隻羊羔。這些供物要作素祭、燔祭和平安祭，為他們贖罪。這是主耶和華的宣告。

公義必作他腰間的帶子，信實必作他脅下的帶子。

他忠於那位委派他的，好像摩西在神的全家盡忠一樣。

但是任何贖罪祭，如果它的血帶進了會幕在聖所內進行贖罪，祭肉就不可吃；必須用火燒盡。”

雖然你們從前也是和神隔絕，心思上與他為敵，行為邪惡，

因為那位使人成聖的，和那些得到成聖的，同是出於一個源頭；所以他稱他們為弟兄也不以為恥。

基督既然藉著十字架消滅了仇恨，就藉著十字架使雙方與神和好，成為一體，

這一切都是出於神，他藉著基督使我們與他自己和好，並且把這和好的職分賜給我們，就是神在基督裡使世人與他自己和好，不再追究他們的過犯，並且把和好的道理託付了我們。因此，我們就是基督的使者，神藉著我們勸告世人。我們代替基督請求你們：跟神和好吧！神使那無罪的替我們成為有罪的，使我們在他裡面成為神的義。

我們作仇敵的時候，尚且藉著神兒子的死與他復和，既然復和了，就更要因他的生得救了！

正月初七日，你也要為犯了誤殺罪的或因愚蒙而犯罪的人這樣行，為聖殿贖罪。

所以，在神的事上，我在基督耶穌裡倒有可以引以為榮的。

律法所立的大祭司，都是軟弱的人；可是在律法以後，用誓言所立的兒子，卻是成為完全直到永遠的。

摩西就宰殺公牛，取了血，用指頭抹祭壇四角的周圍，潔淨祭壇，其餘的血倒在祭壇腳那裡，使祭壇成聖，為壇贖罪。
