故凡事宜如兄弟、得於上帝之事、為矜恤忠信之大祭司、為民罪作挽回之祭、

故當凡事同於兄弟、為矜恤忠信之祭司長、以事上帝、而贖民罪、

因此、彼不得不與眾兄弟儘量同化、俾在天主臺前、得充一忠心耿耿、富於同情之大司祭且為萬民之罪、而自獻為消怒之犧牲。

因為眾兒女都是血肉之軀，所以祂也同樣取了血肉之軀，為要親身經歷死亡，藉此摧毀掌握死亡權勢的魔鬼，

反而甘願放下一切，取了奴僕的形像，降生為人的樣子。祂以人的樣子出現後，就自願卑微，順服至死，而且死在十字架上。

「已經為你的同胞和聖城定了七十個七，以終結叛逆，除掉罪惡，贖盡過犯，帶來永遠的公義，封住異象和預言，膏抹至聖所。

我們所需要的，正是這樣一位聖潔無瑕、良善純全、遠離罪惡、超越諸天的大祭司。

君王要在節期、朔日、安息日等以色列人一切的節期獻上燔祭、素祭和奠祭。他要預備贖罪祭、素祭、燔祭和平安祭的祭物，為以色列人贖罪。

祭司宰了公山羊，把血灑在壇上作贖罪祭，為所有以色列人贖罪，因為王吩咐要為所有以色列人獻上燔祭和贖罪祭。

摩西以僕人的身分向上帝的全家盡忠，為將來要宣告的事做見證。

在以色列肥美的草場上，每二百隻羊便要獻上一隻。這些供物用來作素祭、燔祭和平安祭，為以色列人贖罪。這是主耶和華說的。

公義必作他的腰帶，信實必作他肋下的帶子。

祂向委任祂的上帝盡忠，就好像摩西向上帝的全家盡忠一樣。

如果祭牲的血被帶進會幕，在聖所內進行贖罪，就不可吃祭肉，必須全部燒掉。

你們從前與上帝隔絕，行事邪惡，心思意念與祂為敵；

因為使人聖潔的耶穌和那些得以聖潔的人都出自同一位父親，所以耶穌不以稱呼他們弟兄姊妹為恥。

並藉著十字架消滅彼此間的敵意，使雙方藉著一個身體與上帝和好。

這一切都是上帝的作為，祂藉著基督使我們與祂和好，又把勸人與祂和好的職分賜給了我們。也就是說，上帝在基督裡使世人與自己和好，不再追究他們的過犯。祂已託付我們去傳揚這和好之道。所以我們現在是基督的大使，可以說上帝正藉著我們發出呼求。我們替基督懇求你們：要與上帝和好！上帝使無罪的基督擔當我們的罪，使我們可以藉著基督成為被上帝接納的義人。

如果我們還與上帝爲敵的時候，尚且可以藉著上帝兒子的死亡與上帝和好，和好後的我們豈不更要藉著祂兒子的生命得到拯救嗎？

到了一月七日，要同樣為一切在無意和無知中犯罪的人贖罪，使聖殿保持潔淨。

因此，我在基督耶穌裡以事奉上帝為榮。

根據律法所立的大祭司都有弱點，但律法之後憑誓言所立的大祭司——上帝的兒子永遠純全。

摩西宰了牛，用手指蘸一些牛血抹在祭壇的四角上，以潔淨祭壇；把剩下的血倒在祭壇腳旁，使祭壇聖潔。
