For surely his concern is not for angels, but he is concerned for Abraham’s descendants.

他并不救拔天使，乃是救拔亚伯拉罕的后裔。

诚然，他并没有帮助天使，而是帮助了亚伯拉罕的后裔。

耶穌不助天使、乃助亞伯拉罕後裔、

彼不援天使、乃援亞伯拉罕之裔、

蓋彼所欲救拔者、非屬天神、乃為亞伯漢之子孫。

For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.

It is certainly Abraham’s children that he helps. He doesn’t help angels.

For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.

For it is clear that he does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.

For clearly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendants of Abraham.

For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.

For verily not to angels doth he give help, but he giveth help to the seed of Abraham.

For it is clear that He does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.

For verily he took not on[ him the nature of] angels; but he took on[ him] the seed of Abraham.

For most certainly, he doesn’t give help to angels, but he gives help to the offspring of Abraham.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.

For circumcision has its value if you practice the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

For this reason it is by faith so that it may be by grace, with the result that the promise may be certain to all the descendants– not only to those who are under the law, but also to those who have the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all( as it is written,“ I have made you the father of many nations”). He is our father in the presence of God whom he believed– the God who makes the dead alive and summons the things that do not yet exist as though they already do.Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement,“ so will your descendants be.”Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead( because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.He was fully convinced that what God promised he was also able to do.So indeed it was credited to Abraham as righteousness.But the statement it was credited to him was not written only for Abraham’s sake,but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was manifested in these last times for your sake.

This is the record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,Judah the father of Perez and Zerah( by Tamar), Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,Salmon the father of Boaz( by Rahab), Boaz the father of Obed( by Ruth), Obed the father of Jesse,and Jesse the father of David the king. David was the father of Solomon( by the wife of Uriah),Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, Joram the father of Uzziah,Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah,and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.After the deportation to Babylon, Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Achim, Achim the father of Eliud,Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to Christ, fourteen generations.

Because you have obeyed me, all the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.’”

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does not say,“ and to the descendants,” referring to many, but“ and to your descendant,” referring to one, who is Christ.

For people swear by something greater than themselves, and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute.

For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but he does so for our benefit, that we may share his holiness.
