Those children have bodies made out of flesh and blood. So Jesus became human like them in order to die for them. By doing this, he could break the power of the devil. The devil is the one who rules over the kingdom of death.

儿女既同有血肉之体，他也照样亲自成了血肉之体，特要藉着死败坏那掌死权的，就是魔鬼，

既然儿女同有血肉之躯，他也照样亲自成了血肉之躯，为能藉着死败坏那掌管死权的，就是魔鬼，

因为众儿女都是血肉之躯，所以祂也同样取了血肉之躯，为要亲身经历死亡，借此摧毁掌握死亡权势的魔鬼，

孩子们既然同有血肉之体，他自己也照样成为血肉之体，为要藉着死，消灭那掌握死权的魔鬼，

所以，孩子们既然同属血肉之体，他也照样同有一样的血肉之体，为要藉着死亡来废除那掌握死亡权势的——就是魔鬼，

兒女既同有血肉之體，他也照樣親自成了血肉之體，特要藉着死敗壞那掌死權的，就是魔鬼，

既然兒女同有血肉之軀，他也照樣親自成了血肉之軀，為能藉着死敗壞那掌管死權的，就是魔鬼，

這樣，孩子們既有分於血與肉，他自己也同樣與分於血與肉，這是要讓他藉着死叫那掌有死權的——就是魔鬼——無能為力，

所以，孩子們既然同屬血肉之體，他也照樣同有一樣的血肉之體，為要藉著死亡來廢除那掌握死亡權勢的——就是魔鬼，

夫眾子既屬血氣、彼亦同之、致得由死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、

子乃血氣之屬、主亦血氣之屬、欲以其死使魔鬼無權、不得逞其力以傷人、

眾子既有血肉之身、彼亦有血肉之身、致可以死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、

眾子既具血肉之體、聖子亦曾具血肉之體；其所以然者、乃欲通過死亡之關以滅彼掌握死權之沙殫、

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death— that is, the devil—

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

Because God’s children are human beings— made of flesh and blood— the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.

Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death— that is, the devil—

It has now been made known through the coming of our Savior, Christ Jesus. He has broken the power of death. Because of the good news, he has brought life out into the light. That life never dies.

The written law was made weak by the power of sin. But God did what the written law could not do. He made his Son to be like those who live under the power of sin. God sent him to be an offering for sin. Jesus suffered God’s judgment against our sin.

The Word became a human being. He made his home with us. We have seen his glory. It is the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father. And the Word was full of grace and truth.

“ I will set these people free from the power of the grave. I will save them from death. Death, where are your plagues? Grave, where is your power to destroy?“ I will no longer pity Ephraim.

He took away the weapons of the powers and authorities. He made a public show of them. He won the battle over them by dying on the cross.

Brothers and sisters, here is what I’m telling you. Bodies made of flesh and blood can’t share in the kingdom of God. And what dies can’t share in what never dies.

In fact, that is going to happen. What does not last will be dressed with what lasts forever. What dies will be dressed with what does not die. Then what is written will come true. It says,“ Death has been swallowed up. It has lost the battle.”( Isaiah 25:8)“ Death, where is the victory you thought you had? Death, where is your sting?”( Hosea 13:14)The sting of death is sin. And the power of sin is the law.But let us give thanks to God! He gives us the victory because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.

Now it is time for the world to be judged. Now the prince of this world will be thrown out.And I am going to be lifted up from the earth. When I am, I will bring all people to myself.”He said this to show them how he was going to die.

He will swallow up death forever. The Lord and King will wipe away the tears from everyone’s face. He will remove the shame of his people from the whole earth. The Lord has spoken.

The person who does what is sinful belongs to the devil. That’s because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the devil’s work.Those who are God’s children will not keep on sinning. God’s very nature remains in them. They can’t go on sinning. That’s because they are God’s children.Here is how you can tell the difference between God’s children and the devil’s children. Anyone who doesn’t do what is right isn’t God’s child. And anyone who doesn’t love their brother or sister isn’t God’s child either.

I am the Living One. I was dead. But now look! I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys to Death and Hell.

That’s why Christ is the go- between of a new covenant. Now those God calls to himself will receive the eternal gift he promised. They will receive it now that Christ has died to save them. He died to set them free from the sins they committed under the first covenant.

He himself suffered when he was tempted. Now he is able to help others who are being tempted.

So I will give him a place of honor among those who are great. He will be rewarded just like others who win the battle. That’s because he was willing to give his life as a sacrifice. He was counted among those who had committed crimes. He took the sins of many people on himself. And he gave his life for those who had done what is wrong.”

We have a high priest who can feel it when we are weak and hurting. We have a high priest who has been tempted in every way, just as we are. But he did not sin.

But then the chosen time came. God sent his Son. A woman gave birth to him. He was born under the authority of the law.

He grabbed the dragon, that old serpent. The serpent is also called the devil, or Satan. The angel put him in chains for 1,000 years.

The great dragon was thrown down to the earth, and his angels with him. The dragon is that old serpent called the devil, or Satan. He leads the whole world astray.

I will make you and the woman hate each other. Your children and her children will be enemies. Her son will crush your head. And you will bite his heel.”

The Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin is going to have a baby. She will give birth to a son. And he will be called Immanuel.

Christ died and came back to life. He did this to become the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Don’t be afraid of what you are going to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you. You will be treated badly for ten days. Be faithful, even if it means you must die. Then I will give you life as your crown of victory.

There is no doubt that true godliness comes from this great mystery. Jesus came as a human being. The Holy Spirit proved that he was the Son of God. He was seen by angels. He was preached among the nations. People in the world believed in him. He was taken up to heaven in glory.

Instead, he made himself nothing. He did this by taking on the nature of a servant. He was made just like human beings.He appeared as a man. He was humble and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to his death. Even worse, he died on a cross!

What I’m about to tell you is true. Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only one seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

“ Then he will say to those on his left,‘ You are cursed! Go away from me into the fire that burns forever. It has been prepared for the devil and his angels.
