Therefore, I intend to remind you constantly of these things even though you know them and are well established in the truth that you now have.Indeed, as long as I am in this tabernacle, I consider it right to stir you up by way of a reminder,

Dear friends, this is already the second letter I have written you, in which I am trying to stir up your pure mind by way of reminder:

After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.

My child, do not let them escape from your sight; safeguard sound wisdom and discretion.

Indeed, I will also make every effort that, after my departure, you have a testimony of these things.

Again, however, pay very careful attention, lest you forget the things you have seen and disregard them for the rest of your life; instead teach them to your children and grandchildren.

How can a young person maintain a pure life? By guarding it according to your instructions!

And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?“ My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you.

Watch yourselves carefully! Love the LORD your God!But if you ever turn away and make alliances with these nations that remain near you, and intermarry with them and establish friendly relations with them,

Then you will succeed, if you carefully obey the rules and regulations which the LORD ordered Moses to give to Israel. Be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic!

Listen, children, to a father’s instruction, and pay attention so that you may gain discernment.Because I give you good instruction, do not forsake my teaching.When I was a son to my father, a tender only child before my mother,he taught me, and he said to me:“ Let your heart lay hold of my words; keep my commands so that you will live.

he said to them,“ Keep in mind all the words I am solemnly proclaiming to you today; you must command your children to observe carefully all the words of this law.For this is no idle word for you– it is your life! By this word you will live a long time in the land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”

My child, pay attention to my words; listen attentively to my sayings.Do not let them depart from your sight, guard them within your heart;for they are life to those who find them and healing to one’s entire body.

For if the message spoken through angels proved to be so firm that every violation or disobedience received its just penalty,how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,while God confirmed their witness with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

Though you have eyes, don’t you see? And though you have ears, can’t you hear? Don’t you remember?

Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?Then his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised,“ I will once more shake not only the earth but heaven too.”

Be on guard so that you do not forget the covenant of the LORD your God that he has made with you, and that you do not make an image of any kind, just as he has forbidden you.

But you will become drunk with shame, not majesty. Now it is your turn to drink and expose your uncircumcised foreskin! The cup of wine in the LORD’s right hand is coming to you, and disgrace will replace your majestic glory!

“ Take these words to heart, for the Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.”

Look, I am about to empower the Babylonians, that ruthless and greedy nation. They sweep across the surface of the earth, seizing dwelling places that do not belong to them.
