And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him.

And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said,“ My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you.

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:“ My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly or faint when you are reproved by Him,

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

You have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children,“ My son, don’t take lightly the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by him;

My child, do not despise discipline from the LORD, and do not loathe his rebuke.For the LORD disciplines those he loves, just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights.

“ Therefore, blessed is the man whom God corrects, so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.For he wounds, but he also bandages; he strikes, but his hands also heal.

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.

How blessed is the one whom you instruct, O LORD, the one whom you teach from your law,

Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed in your struggle against sin.

Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.

The LORD severely punished me, but he did not hand me over to death.

My life is in continual danger, but I do not forget your law.

We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair;we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed,

Again, however, pay very careful attention, lest you forget the things you have seen and disregard them for the rest of your life; instead teach them to your children and grandchildren.You stood before the LORD your God at Horeb and he said to me,“ Assemble the people before me so that I can tell them my commands. He told them:“ You are the leaders of the Levites’ families. You and your relatives must consecrate yourselves and bring the ark of the LORD God of Israel up to the place I have prepared for it.The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”

LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger! Do not discipline me in your raging fury!Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am frail! Heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking!
