因此，祂是新约的中保，借着死亡救赎了触犯旧约的人，好叫那些蒙召的人得到所应许的永恒基业。

摩西便把盆中的血洒在百姓身上，说：“这是立约的血，是耶和华按所说的话与你们立约的凭据。”

耶和华说：“你做了什么事？你弟弟的血从地里向我哭诉。

他凭信心守逾越节，行洒血的礼，免得那位杀长子的伤害以色列人。

但如今，基督得到了一个更超越的职任，正如祂担任了更美之约的中保，这约是根据更美的应许所立的。

亚伯凭信心向上帝献祭，比该隐所献的更美，蒙了上帝的悦纳，被称为义人。他虽然死了，却仍然借着信心说话。

上帝只有一位，在上帝和人类之间只有一位中保，就是降世为人的基督耶稣。

祂洁净了我们被罪困扰的良心，用清水洗净了我们的身体。因此，我们要信心十足、真诚地到上帝面前。

这是我为万人所流的立约之血，为了使罪得到赦免。

因此，所有义人在地上所流的血，就是从义人亚伯的血，直到你们在圣所和祭坛之间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血，都要归到你们身上。

你们蒙拣选是按照父上帝预先定好的旨意，借着圣灵得以圣洁，好顺服耶稣基督，并靠祂的血得到洁净。愿上帝赐给你们丰丰富富的恩典和平安！

饭后，祂又举起杯来，说：“这杯是用我的血立的新约，这血是为你们流的。

耶和华说：“看啊，时候将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，这约不同于我与他们祖先所立的约，就是我牵着他们祖先的手领他们离开埃及时所立的。虽然我是他们的丈夫，他们却违背了我的约。这是耶和华说的。”耶和华说：“那些日子以后，我将与以色列家立这样的约，我要把我的律法放在他们脑中，写在他们心上。我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。

他又照样把血洒在圣幕和所有用来献祭的器具上。

这誓言使耶稣成了更美之约的保证人。

愿赐平安的上帝，就是那位凭着立永恒之约的血使群羊的大牧人——我主耶稣从死里复活的上帝，

耶稣说：“这是我为万人所流的立约之血。

然而，上帝指责祂的百姓，说：“看啊，时候将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，

你们要到我这里来，侧耳听我的话，就必得到生命。我要跟你们立永久的约，将应许给大卫的可靠恩福赐给你们。
