Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons and Sabbaths, and the calling of solemn assemblies— I cannot stand iniquity with a festival.I hate your New Moons and prescribed festivals. They have become a burden to me; I am tired of putting up with them.When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look at you; even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.

Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins.

What should I bring before the LORD when I come to bow before God on high? Should I come before him with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?Would the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousand streams of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my transgression, the offspring of my body for my own sin?Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.

And this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

You know that he was revealed so that he might take away sins, and there is no sin in him.

This is a symbol for the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the worshiper’s conscience.

And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is far more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

After he says above, You did not desire or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings( which are offered according to the law),

Take words of repentance with you and return to the LORD. Say to him,“ Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise from our lips.

I hate, I despise, your feasts! I can’t stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.Even if you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; I will have no regard for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle.

he entered the most holy place once for all time, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow, sprinkling those who are defiled, sanctify for the purification of the flesh,

You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it; you are not pleased with a burnt offering.

For I desire faithful love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ Add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices, and eat the meat yourselves,for when I brought your ancestors out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak with them or command them concerning burnt offering and sacrifice.

What use to me is frankincense from Sheba or sweet cane from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable; your sacrifices do not please me.

One person slaughters an ox, another kills a person; one person sacrifices a lamb, another breaks a dog’s neck; one person offers a grain offering, another offers pig’s blood; one person offers incense, another praises an idol— all these have chosen their ways and delight in their abhorrent practices.

I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices or for your burnt offerings, which are continually before me.I will not take a bull from your household or male goats from your pens,for every animal of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.I know every bird of the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine.If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and everything in it is mine.
