請爾追思、此日以前、即自九月二十四日、立耶和華殿基時、爾其念之、

自九月二十四日、築我耶和華殿基、以後所有之事、即當思之、

爾曹當思念、此日以前、即九月二十四日、立主殿基之日以前、爾曹當思念情景若何、

‘ From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought to the day when the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid. Give careful thought:

It is the 24th day of the ninth month. From this day on, here is what you should think carefully about. Think about the day when the foundation of my temple was laid.

Consider from this day onward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month. Since the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, consider:

“ Think about this eighteenth day of December, the day when the foundation of the Lord’s Temple was laid. Think carefully.

From this day on, think carefully; from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid; think carefully.

‘ Do consider from this day onward, from the twenty fourth day of the ninth month; from the day when the temple of the Lord was founded, consider:

‘ Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid— consider it:

Consider, I pray you, from this day and backward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, since the day that the foundation of Jehovah’s temple was laid, consider it.

“ Consider carefully from this day forward; from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid; consider it carefully.

Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth[ month, even] from the day that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid, consider[ it].

‘ Think carefully about the past: from today, the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, to the day work on the temple of the LORD was resumed, think about it.

‘ Consider, please, from this day and backward, from the twenty- fourth day of the ninth month, since the day that the foundation of Yahweh’s temple was laid, consider it.

「萬軍之耶和華說，『在奠立萬軍之耶和華殿的根基那天，眾先知都在場。現今聽見這些先知之言的人啊，你們要剛強，以便可以建造聖殿！

「『從今以後，你們要回想重建耶和華殿之前的光景。

因為他們必平安地撒種，葡萄樹必結果子，土地必出產五穀，天必降下甘霖，我要把這些福氣賜給這些餘民。

那時，先知哈該和易多的子孫撒迦利亞奉以色列上帝的名，向猶大和耶路撒冷的猶大人宣講上帝的話。於是，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和約薩達的兒子耶書亞開始在耶路撒冷重建上帝的殿，上帝的先知在他們身邊幫助他們。

如果他們有智慧，就能明白這一切、知道自己的結局。

大流士王執政第二年九月二十四日，耶和華對先知哈該說：

最後，他醒悟過來，心想，『在我父親家裡，連僱工的口糧都綽綽有餘，我現在卻要在這裡餓死嗎？我要動身回到我父親身邊，對他說，父親，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，今後，我再也不配作你的兒子，請把我當作僱工看待吧。』於是他動身回家。「他父親遠遠地看見他，就動了慈心，跑上前去抱著他連連親吻。

耶和華感動撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞和所有的餘民，他們就動工建造他們的上帝萬軍之耶和華的殿，時值大流士王執政第二年六月二十四日。
