Then Haggai replied,“ So is this people, and so is this nation before me— this is the LORD’s declaration. And so is every work of their hands; even what they offer there is defiled.

于是哈该说：“耶和华说：这民这国，在我面前也是如此；他们手下的各样工作都是如此；他们在坛上所献的也是如此。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，在我面前这民如此，这国也是如此；他们手里的各样工作都是如此；他们在那里所献的都不洁净。”

于是哈该说：“耶和华说，‘这百姓和这国家在我面前也是如此。他们手中的各样工作和他们在那里所献的都不洁净。’

于是哈该回答，说：“耶和华说：‘这民也是这样，这国在我面前也是这样；他们手里的一切工作，都是这样；他们在那里所献的，都是不洁净的。’

於是哈該說：「耶和華說：這民這國，在我面前也是如此；他們手下的各樣工作都是如此；他們在壇上所獻的也是如此。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，在我面前這民如此，這國也是如此；他們手裏的各樣工作都是如此；他們在那裏所獻的都不潔淨。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，在我面前這民如此，這國也是如此；他們手裏的各樣工作都是如此；他們在那裏所獻的都不潔淨。」

於是哈該說：「耶和華說，『這百姓和這國家在我面前也是如此。他們手中的各樣工作和他們在那裡所獻的都不潔淨。』

於是哈該回答，說：“耶和華說：‘這民也是這樣，這國在我面前也是這樣；他們手裡的一切工作，都是這樣；他們在那裡所獻的，都是不潔淨的。’

於是哈該應聲地說：『永恆主發神諭說：在我面前這人民也是這樣，這國也是這樣；他們手下的各樣農作物都是這樣：他們在這裏所供獻的都是不潔淨。

哈該曰、耶和華云、斯民斯族於我前亦若是、其手所作之工、及所獻之物、皆為不潔、

哈基又曰、耶和華曰、此國之民、其身不潔、所行之事、所獻之物、亦蒙不潔、

哈該曰、主曰、斯民斯族於我前、亦若是不潔、其手所作者不潔、原文作哈該曰主曰斯民斯族於我前亦如是其手所作者亦如是在此此原文作彼所獻者不潔、

Then Haggai said,“‘ So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,’ declares the Lord.‘ Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.

Then here is what Haggai said.“ The Lord announces,‘ That is how I look at these people and this nation. Anything they do and anything they sacrifice on the altar is“ unclean.”

Then Haggai answered and said,“ So is it with this people, and with this nation before me, declares the Lord, and so with every work of their hands. And what they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai responded,“ That is how it is with this people and this nation, says the Lord. Everything they do and everything they offer is defiled by their sin.

Then Haggai responded and said,“ ‘ So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,’ declares the Lord,‘ and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai answered and said,“‘ so is this people, and so is this nation before Me,’ says the Lord,‘ and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

Then answered Haggai and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith Jehovah; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

Then Haggai replied,“ So is this people, and so is this nation before Me”— this is the Lord’s declaration.“ And so is every work of their hands; even what they offer there is defiled.

Then answered Haggai, and said, So[ is] this people, and so[ is] this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so[ is] every work of their hands; and that which they offer there[ is] unclean.

Then Haggai responded,“‘ The people of this nation are unclean in my sight,’ says the LORD.‘ And so is all their effort; everything they offer is also unclean.

Then Haggai answered,“‘ So is this people, and so is this nation before me,’ says Yahweh;‘ and so is every work of their hands. That which they offer there is unclean.

“ What are all your sacrifices to me?” asks the LORD.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings and rams and the fat of well-fed cattle; I have no desire for the blood of bulls, lambs, or male goats.When you come to appear before me, who requires this from you— this trampling of my courts?Stop bringing useless offerings. Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons and Sabbaths, and the calling of solemn assemblies— I cannot stand iniquity with a festival.I hate your New Moons and prescribed festivals. They have become a burden to me; I am tired of putting up with them.When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look at you; even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.

Anyone who turns his ear away from hearing the law— even his prayer is detestable.

To the pure, everything is pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; in fact, both their mind and conscience are defiled.

The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

The lamp that guides the wicked— haughty eyes and an arrogant heart— is sin.

Jeshua son of Jozadak and his brothers the priests along with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his brothers began to build the altar of Israel’s God in order to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.They set up the altar on its foundation and offered burnt offerings for the morning and evening on it to the LORD even though they feared the surrounding peoples.

save others by snatching them from the fire; have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

The sacrifice of a wicked person is detestable— how much more so when he brings it with ulterior motives!

“ Is it a time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?”Now, the LORD of Armies says this:“ Think carefully about your ways:You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough to be satisfied. You drink but never have enough to be happy. You put on clothes but never have enough to get warm. The wage earner puts his wages into a bag with a hole in it.”The LORD of Armies says this:“ Think carefully about your ways.Go up into the hills, bring down lumber, and build the house; and I will be pleased with it and be glorified,” says the LORD.“ You expected much, but then it amounted to little. When you brought the harvest to your house, I ruined it. Why?” This is the declaration of the LORD of Armies.“ Because my house still lies in ruins, while each of you is busy with his own house.So on your account, the skies have withheld the dew and the land its crops.I have summoned a drought on the fields and the hills, on the grain, new wine, fresh oil, and whatever the ground yields, on people and animals, and on all that your hands produce.”
