You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

You have planted many seeds. But the crops you have gathered are small. So you eat. But you never have enough. You drink. But you are never full. You put on your clothes. But you are not warm. You earn your pay. But it will not buy everything you need.”

You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

那时你们怎样呢？有人到谷堆来，想得两百公斤谷，却只得一百公斤；有人到榨酒池去，想从酒槽得一百公升酒，却只得四十公升。

你们要受严厉的咒诅，因你们全国的人都抢夺了属我之物。”万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一，全部送入仓库，使我家中有粮；藉此试验我，看我是不是为你们敞开天窗，把福气倒给你们，直到充足有余呢。”万军之耶和华说：“我必为你们斥责那吞吃者，不容他毁坏你们地上的果实，也不让你们田间的葡萄在未熟以先就掉下来。”

“你们期望丰收，反倒歉收；你们收到家里的，我就吹去。”为什么呢？万军之耶和华说：“因为我的殿宇荒废，你们各人却为自己的房屋奔驰。

他们播种的是风，收成的是暴风。生出来的苗没有麦穗，不能做成面粉；即或做成面粉，也必被别国的人吞吃。

“你带到田间的种子虽然很多，但收进来的却很少，因为蝗虫把它吞吃了。你栽种修理葡萄园，必不得收葡萄，也不得喝葡萄酒，因为虫子把它吃尽了。你全境必有橄榄树，却没有油抹身，因为你的橄榄还未成熟就脱落了。

他们吃，却吃不饱；行淫，人数却不会增多；因为他们离弃了耶和华，不遵守他的命令。

田野荒废，土地凄凉，因为五谷毁坏，新酒干竭，油也缺乏。农夫啊！你们要为大麦和小麦羞愧。修理葡萄园的啊！你们要哀号，因为田间的庄稼都破坏了。葡萄树枯干，无花果树衰残；石榴树、棕树、苹果树，田野所有的树木都枯干，因此欢乐从人间消失了。祭司啊！你们要腰束麻布，并且痛哭。在祭坛侍候的啊！你们要哀号。事奉我的神的啊！你们披上麻布进去过夜吧，因为素祭和奠祭，都从你们的神的殿中止息了。

你要吃，却吃不饱；因你的腹中常有疾病。你要怀孕，却不能生下来；你生下来的，我都要交给刀剑。你要撒种，却不得收割，你要榨橄榄油，却不得油抹身；你要榨葡萄汁，却不得酒喝。

万军之耶和华说：‘我要使这书卷出去，进入盗贼的家和指着我的名起假誓之人的家，这书卷必留在他的家中，要把他家里的木料和石头都毁灭（这是万军之耶和华说的）。’”

万军之耶和华说：“你们若不听从，若不放在心上，不把荣耀归给我的名，我就使咒诅临到你们中间，我要咒诅你们应得的福分，并且已经咒诅了，因为你们没有把这命令放在心上。

因为在那些日子以前，人作工是没有工价的，牲畜也是这样，并且因有敌人的缘故，人出入就没有平安，我也使众人互相攻击。

她说：“我指着永活的耶和华你的神起誓，我没有饼，缸里只有一把面粉，瓶里只有一点油。你看我正在捡两根柴，然后回去，为自己和儿子做饼，我们吃完了，就等死。”

大卫在位的日子，有连续三年的饥荒；大卫就寻求耶和华的面。耶和华说：“这是因为扫罗和扫罗家流人血的罪，因为他曾经杀死了基遍人。”

他在满足有余的时候，陷入困境，受过苦的人的手都临到他身上。

但是，自从我们停止向天后烧香和浇奠祭以后，我们就样样都缺乏，又因刀剑和饥荒灭亡。”

我断绝你们的粮食来源（“我断绝你们的粮食来源”直译是“我要折断你们粮食的杖”）以后，十个女人要共享一个炉子给你们烤饼，她们配给定量的饼给你们；你们要吃，却吃不饱。

他的家产必被掠去，在神忿怒的日子被冲走。

你们的气力徒然用尽；你们的地不出产，境内的树也不结果实。

十公顷葡萄园只出二十二公升酒；二百二十公升谷种只结二十二公升粮食。”

他又对我说：“人子啊，我要断绝耶路撒冷的粮食。他们要满心忧虑，吃配给的口粮；十分惊惶，喝配给的水。他们缺粮缺水，各人都必惊惶，因自己的罪孽衰弱而死。”

“虽然我使你们各城的人牙齿干净，各处都缺乏粮食；但你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。“我曾在收割前三个月，不降雨给你们；我降雨给一个城，在另一个城却不降雨；我在一块地降雨，另一块地没有雨水就枯干了。两三个城的居民挤到一个城去找水喝，却没有足够的水喝；但你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。“我曾多次用热风和霉烂击打你们的园子和葡萄园，叫蝗虫吃光你们的无花果树和橄榄树；但你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。

他使肥沃的土地变为咸田，都因住在那里的居民的邪恶。

土地干裂，因为地上没有雨水；农夫失望，都蒙着自己的头。
