So Moses said to Aaron,“ Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar, put incense on it, and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the Lord. The plague has begun.”Then Aaron took it as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and already the plague had begun among the people. So he put in the incense and made atonement for the people.And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped.Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident.

I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.”

They shall be wasted with hunger, Devoured by pestilence and bitter destruction; I will also send against them the teeth of beasts, With the poison of serpents of the dust.

He made a path for His anger; He did not spare their soul from death, But gave their life over to the plague,And destroyed all the firstborn in Egypt, The first of their strength in the tents of Ham.

God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies;The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet.

Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry.Smoke went up from His nostrils, And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it.He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet.And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind.He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters And thick clouds of the skies.From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.The Lord thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.
