For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

The message I give you waits for the time I have appointed. It speaks about what is going to happen. And all of it will come true. It might take a while. But wait for it. You can be sure it will come. It will happen when I want it to.

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end— it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

垂顧郇邑、其時已至、爾其勃興、矜憫之兮、

爾亦知有阻之者、然屆期必出、其隱慝始萌、今有所阻、後無扞格、當此時、惡人將出、主以辭氣滅之、俟厥昭臨、必淪胥以亡、

惟耶和華上帝、施仁行義、矜憫為懷彼必欲勃然而興、以恩加爾、凡恃主者、必蒙福祉、

上帝選民、晝夜籲禱、其應或遲、豈不終伸其冤乎、吾語汝、冤之伸也忽焉、人子至、詎見信於世乎、○

惟我仰望我之上帝耶和華、彼必垂聽、而加拯救、

兄弟當忍、待主降臨、如地產嘉穀、農夫忍待、望秋霖春雨、爾亦當忍、堅爾心、主臨伊邇、

曰、父定之期日、爾非所當知也、

耶和華又曰、七十年之期既屆、我降罰於巴比倫之君民、治其罪戾、使迦勒底土地荒蕪、歷久若此。昔我使先知耶利米、以列國之事、筆之於書、中有降災迦勒底之言、必有效驗。邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使迦勒底人為其服役、視其所行、而加報施。

民中之哲者、將受患難、以試乎眾、使民潔白、至於所定之期至、

曰我以末期之災示爾、屆期必有是事、

耶路撒冷有名西面者、其人義且敬、素仰慕夫慰藉以色列民者、聖神臨之、

言時、使者至、王亦至、曰、斯災自耶和華而降、何必仰望耶和華哉。

服操會與家宰、待父所遺命之時焉、

二王各懷異志、筵宴之間、誑辭是尚、所謀不利、蓋末期未至、

主造萬國、本於一脈、地以居之、時以定之、界以限之、

彼取人財、以巧言鬻爾、上帝預定、不久必鞫之、使彼速沉淪、

彼至我所、我懼俯伏於地、彼曰人子宜曉然所見之異象、乃指末日之事、

爾民與聖邑、上帝預定其期、以七日為期、而復以七日相乘、以遏罪惡、以除祭品、贖民前愆、彰大義於萬世、則以所見異象有應、至聖之主、必沐以膏、我告爾一事、爾當知詔建耶路撒冷、逮及受膏之君至、必有七日、復乘以七、更有七日、復乘以六十二、築城修道、必在患難之時、七日復乘以六十二之後、受膏之主見戮、援手無人、迄乎後日、異邦之君咸至、毀城郭、傾聖所、若為洪水所淹、戰爭不息、則殺戮不已、最後七日、主必與眾民立約、七日之間、祭祀將不復行、殘賊可惡之物、立於聖地、所定之災、必有應驗、終至荒蕪。巴西王古列三年、但以理亦名伯底沙撒、夢得默示、確然不爽、其後困苦之事、不可勝計、思之良久、始明其意、

列國之人必服事之、爰及子孫、屆滅國之期而後已、厥後邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使巴比倫王供其服役。
