The LORD answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it.

耶和華謂我曰、書此啟示、昭著於版、俾人趨而能讀、

耶和華曰、以所得之默示、明書於簡、俾讀者疾趨將命、宣播四方、

主對我曰、書斯默示、明記於簡、使讀者易讀、易讀原文作迅速而讀

Then the Lord replied:“ Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

The Lord replies,“ Write down the message I am giving you. Write it clearly on the tablets you use. Then a messenger can read it and run to announce it.

And the Lord answered me:“ Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.

Then the Lord said to me,“ Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.

Then the Lord answered me and said,“ Write down the vision And inscribe it clearly on tablets, So that one who reads it may run.

Then the Lord answered me and said:“ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.

And Jehovah answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it.

The Lord answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it.

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make[ it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

The LORD responded:“ Write down this message! Record it legibly on tablets, so the one who announces it may read it easily.

Yahweh answered me,“ Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

Go now, write it on a tablet in their presence and inscribe it on a scroll; it will be for the future, forever and ever.

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying,“ Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ so they will rest from their labors, since their works follow them.”

and the Living One. I was dead, but look— I am alive forever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and Hades.Therefore write what you have seen, what is, and what will take place after this.

“ Take a scroll, and write on it all the words I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah, and all the nations from the time I first spoke to you during Josiah’s reign until today.Perhaps when the house of Judah hears about all the disaster I am planning to bring on them, each one of them will turn from his evil way. Then I will forgive their iniquity and their sin.”So Jeremiah summoned Baruch son of Neriah. At Jeremiah’s dictation, Baruch wrote on a scroll all the words the LORD had spoken to Jeremiah.

Then the one seated on the throne said,“ Look, I am making everything new.” He also said,“ Write, because these words are faithful and true.”Then he said to me,“ It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give to the thirsty from the spring of the water of life.The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.But the cowards, faithless, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars— their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

So Moses wrote down this song on that day and taught it to the Israelites.

Therefore write down this song for yourselves and teach it to the Israelites; have them sing it, so that this song may be a witness for me against the Israelites.

Write clearly all the words of this law on the plastered stones.”

Then the LORD said to me,“ Take a large piece of parchment and write on it with an ordinary pen: Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

Since, then, we have such a hope, we act with great boldness.

“ But you, Daniel, keep these words secret and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam about, and knowledge will increase.”

After the king had burned the scroll and the words Baruch had written at Jeremiah’s dictation, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:“ Take another scroll, and once again write on it the original words that were on the original scroll that King Jehoiakim of Judah burned.You are to proclaim concerning King Jehoiakim of Judah,‘ This is what the LORD says: You have burned the scroll, asking,“ Why have you written on it that the king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land and cause it to be without people or animals?”Therefore, this is what the LORD says concerning King Jehoiakim of Judah: He will have no one to sit on David’s throne, and his corpse will be thrown out to be exposed to the heat of day and the frost of night.I will punish him, his descendants, and his officers for their iniquity. I will bring on them, on the residents of Jerusalem, and on the people of Judah all the disaster, which I warned them about but they did not listen.’”Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to Baruch son of Neriah, the scribe, and he wrote on it at Jeremiah’s dictation all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim, Judah’s king, had burned in the fire. And many other words like them were added.

Then he said to me,“ Write: Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb!” He also said to me,“ These words of God are true.”

yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, in order to teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.
