Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, for by his net he lives in luxury and enjoys the choicest food.

They offer sacrifices to their nets. They burn incense to them. Their nets allow them to live in great comfort. They enjoy the finest food.

因為他說：「我所成就的事是靠我手的能力和我的智慧，因為我本有聰明。我挪移列國的地界，搶奪他們所積蓄的財寶，並且像勇士，使坐寶座的降為卑。我的手奪取列國的財寶，好像人奪取鳥窩；我得了全地，好像人拾起被棄的鳥蛋；沒有振動翅膀的，沒有張嘴的，也沒有鳴叫的。」斧豈可向用斧砍伐的自誇呢？鋸豈可向拉鋸的自大呢？這好比棍揮動那舉棍的，好比杖舉起那不是木頭的人。

你要說，主耶和華如此說：埃及王法老，你這臥在自己江河中的海怪，看哪，我與你為敵。你曾說：『我的尼羅河是我的，是我為自己造的。』

竟向天上的主自高，差人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明，沒有將榮耀歸與那手中掌管你氣息，管理你一切行動的神。

看哪，你比但以理更有智慧，任何祕密都不能向你隱藏。

你藉臣僕辱罵主說：我率領許多戰車登上高山，到黎巴嫩的頂端；我要砍伐其中高大的香柏樹和上好的松樹。我必上到極高之處，進入茂盛的森林裏。

你心裏說：『這財富是我的力量、我手的能力得來的。』

王說：「這大巴比倫豈不是我用大能大力建為首都，要顯示我威嚴的榮耀嗎？」
