Every living thing that moved on land perished— birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

越七日、吾降霪雨、必浹四旬、晝夜不絕、凡所造之生物、盡滅於地。

於是耶和華既造世人、旋有悔心、愀然憂之。耶和華曰、將以我所造之人、翦滅於地、以及牲畜、昆蟲、飛鳥、然此雖由我作、我則悔焉。

其所至者前後若火、炎炎不已、未來之前、斯土與埃田相埒、既去之後、邦國變為曠野、得免於難者、卒無一人、

萬物歸於虛、非其心、蓋有使之者、

是爾法古昔、惡人之所行者也。不期大河忽決、而惡人與室廬悉遭淹沒。彼曰、上帝勿親我、全能之主、無益於我。

迨挪亞入方舟之日、洪水至而湮眾、人子之日亦然、

耶和華與、爾鑒察予、知予中心信從、惟彼作惡者流、爾其牽之、若羊置於死地。人居斯土、作惡無厭、自謂上帝不加彰癉、故邦國愁慘。土產槁枯、禽獸死亡、伊於何底。

斯土搖撼震裂、若醉者跬步不能自主、如搖床蹁躚不定、蓋斯民之罪甚重、故遭傾覆、不能復起。

故土地荒蕪、居民凋喪、野獸飛鳥海魚、俱必滅亡、

耶和華曰、我民愚昧、俱不知我、不明孰甚、作惡則智、為善則愚。耶利米曰、我觀地虛曠、天無光、山巒變動、四境無人、飛禽已去、良田荒蕪、城邑傾圮、蓋耶和華涖臨、其怒殊烈。耶和華曰、雖遍地荒蕪、我怒猶不息。

先古之世、其俗澆漓、為上帝所責、災以洪水、惟傳道義之挪亞、暨其眷聚八人得救、

吾儕知萬物、至今共嘆劬勞、

種播土壤、枯而不萌、五穀不登、倉廩空虛、遂至損壞、六畜無苑、宛轉哀鳴、群羊皆斃、火燬牧場、林木皆焚、我無所望、惟籲耶和華、溪河其涸、牧場盡燬、野獸仰望於上。

居民野獸、飛鳥海魚、偶像惡人、俱必殞亡、我耶和華已言之矣。

莫有知者、忽洪水至而湮眾、人子之臨亦然、

上帝降災、居民遭譴、如受火烙、存者無幾、
