神造了穹苍，把穹苍以下的水和穹苍以上的水分开了。

万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一，全部送入仓库，使我家中有粮；藉此试验我，看我是不是为你们敞开天窗，把福气倒给你们，直到充足有余呢。”

因为主耶和华这样说：我使你成为荒废的城市，像没有人居住的城镇；我使深渊的水上升漫过你，使大水淹没你，

那官长回答神人，说：“即使耶和华在天上开了窗户，也不会有这事发生。”神人说：“看哪，你要亲眼看见，却吃不着。”

万军之主耶和华摸地，地就融化，住在地上的都要悲哀。这地必像尼罗河高涨，像埃及的大河退落。那在天上建立楼阁，在大地之上奠立穹苍；又吩咐海水，把海水倒在地上的；耶和华就是他的名。

洪水之前的时代，人们吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亚进入方舟的那一天；

然而，他吩咐天上的云彩，打开天上的门户。他降吗哪给他们吃，把天上的食物赐给他们。

他把海水聚集成垒（“成垒”或译：“在皮袋里”），把深海安放在库房中。

你曾开辟泉源和溪流，又使长流不息的江河干涸。

海水冲出如婴孩出母胎，那时谁用门把海水关闭呢？是我以云彩当作海的衣服，以幽暗当作包裹海的布；我为海定界限，又安置门闩和门户，说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过，你狂傲的波浪要在这里止住。’

在无人居住之处，足迹罕至之地开坑探矿，他们与人远离，悬在坑中摇来摇去。

他一发声，空中诸水就澎湃；他使云雾从地极上腾；他造了闪电和雷雨，又使风从他的仓库里吹出来。

但那搀扶王的官长回答神人，说：“即使耶和华在天上开了窗户，也不会有这事发生。”以利沙说：“看哪，你要亲眼看见，却吃不着。”

他上使穹苍坚固，下使深渊的水泉稳定；他为海洋定出界限，海水不能越过他的命令，他又划定大地的根基；

‘你们连我都不惧怕吗？在我面前你们也不战兢吗？’这是耶和华的宣告。‘我以沙作海的疆界，作永远的界限，海就不能越过；波浪翻腾，却不能漫过；怒涛澎湃，仍无法逾越。

看哪，我要使洪水临到地上，消灭天下的生物，就是有生气的活物；在地上的都必定要死。

大地全然破坏，尽都崩裂，大大震动。

人正在说平安稳妥的时候，毁灭性的灾祸就突然临到他们，好像生产的痛苦临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝不能逃脱。
