You are a lion’s cub, Judah, from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He crouches and lies down like a lion; like a lioness– who will rouse him?

犹大是个小狮子；我儿啊，你抓了食便上去。你屈下身去，卧如公狮，蹲如母狮，谁敢惹你？

犹大是只小狮子；我儿啊，你捕获了猎物就上去。他蹲伏，他躺卧，如公狮，又如母狮，谁敢惹他呢？

犹大是只小狮子；我儿啊，你捕获了猎物就上去。他蹲伏，他躺卧，如公狮，又如母狮，谁敢惹他呢？

我儿犹大是头小狮子，他猎食回来，躺卧如雄狮，蹲伏如母狮，谁敢惊扰他？

犹大是只小狮子；我儿啊，你猎取了食物就上到洞穴去。他屈身伏卧，好像公狮，又像母狮，谁敢惊动他呢？

犹大是个小狮子；我儿啊，你猎食而归，屈身蹲伏，躺如公狮，卧如母狮，谁敢惊动你？

猶大是隻小獅子；我兒啊，你捕獲了獵物就上去。他蹲伏，他躺臥，如公獅，又如母獅，誰敢惹他呢？

我兒猶大是頭小獅子，他獵食回來，躺臥如雄獅，蹲伏如母獅，誰敢驚擾他？

猶大是隻小獅子；我兒啊，你獵取了食物就上到洞穴去。他屈身伏臥，好像公獅，又像母獅，誰敢驚動他呢？

猶大是個小獅子；「我兒啊，你抓了所抓到的便上山穴去；』他屈身伏着像公獅、像母獅，誰敢惹他呢？

猶大是只小獅子；我兒啊，你獵食而歸，屈身蹲伏，躺如公獅，臥如母獅，誰敢驚動你？

吾子猶大、猛如稚獅、食其所攫而去、臥如牡獅、蹲如牝獅、孰敢攖之、

猶大若稚獅、見物則斷傷之、悠然而去、吾子如牡獅、伏視眈眈、亦猶牝獅、孰敢攖之。

我子猶大、有如猛獅、噬物即去、臥如牡獅、蹲如牝獅、誰敢攖之、

You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness— who dares to rouse him?

Judah, you are like a lion’s cub. You return from hunting, my son. Like a lion, you lie down and sleep. You are like a mother lion. Who dares to wake you up?

Judah is a lion’s cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down; he crouched as a lion and as a lioness; who dares rouse him?

Judah, my son, is a young lion that has finished eating its prey. Like a lion he crouches and lies down; like a lioness— who dares to rouse him?

Judah is a young lion— my son, you return from the kill. He crouches; he lies down like a lion or a lioness— who dares to rouse him?

Judah is a lion’s cub; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He crouches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares to stir him up?

Judah is a lion’s whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as a lion, who shall rouse him?

Judah is a lion’s whelp; From the prey, my son, thou art gone up: He stooped down, he couched as a lion, And as a lioness; who shall rouse him up?

Judah is a young lion— my son, you return from the kill. He crouches; he lies down like a lion or a lioness— who dares to rouse him?

Judah[ is] a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

Judah is a lion’s cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down, he crouched as a lion, as a lioness. Who will rouse him up?

They crouch and lie down like a lion, and as a lioness, who can stir him? Blessed is the one who blesses you, and cursed is the one who curses you!’”

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered; thus he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Indeed, the people will rise up like a lioness, and like a lion raises himself up; they will not lie down until they eat their prey, and drink the blood of the slain.”

Those survivors from Jacob will live among the nations, in the midst of many peoples. They will be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which attacks when it passes through; it rips its prey and there is no one to stop it.

I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear them to pieces, then I will carry them off, and no one will be able to rescue them!

Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he has brought to an end all rule and all authority and power.

“‘ When she realized that she waited in vain, her hope was lost. She took another of her cubs and made him a young lion.

Their wicked deeds do not allow them to return to their God; because a spirit of idolatry controls their heart, and they do not acknowledge the LORD.
