The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

The right to rule will not leave Judah. The ruler’s scepter will not be taken from between his feet. It will be his until the king it belongs to will come. The nations will obey that king.

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor.

‘ I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not close at hand. A star will march forth out of Jacob, and a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the skulls of Moab, and the heads of all the sons of Sheth.

Gilead belongs to me, as does Manasseh! Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my royal scepter.

“ Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations.

“ I, the LORD, promise that a new time will certainly come when I will raise up for them a righteous branch, a descendant of David. He will rule over them with wisdom and understanding and will do what is just and right in the land.Under his rule Judah will enjoy safety and Israel will live in security. This is the name he will go by:‘ The LORD has provided us with justice.’

For it is clear that our Lord is descended from Judah, yet Moses said nothing about priests in connection with that tribe.

A total ruin I will make it! It will come to an end when the one arrives to whom I have assigned judgment.’

For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The LORD will cross the sea of storms and will calm its turbulence. The depths of the Nile will dry up, the pride of Assyria will be humbled, and the domination of Egypt will be no more.

For the LORD, our ruler, the LORD, our commander, the LORD, our king– he will deliver us.

he says,“ Is it too insignificant a task for you to be my servant, to reestablish the tribes of Jacob, and restore the remnant of Israel? I will make you a light to the nations, so you can bring my deliverance to the remote regions of the earth.”This is what the LORD, the protector of Israel, their Holy One, says to the one who is despised and rejected by nations, a servant of rulers:“ Kings will see and rise in respect, princes will bow down, because of the faithful LORD, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen you.”

He will lift a signal flag for the nations; he will gather Israel’s dispersed people and assemble Judah’s scattered people from the four corners of the earth.Ephraim’s jealousy will end, and Judah’s hostility will be eliminated. Ephraim will no longer be jealous of Judah, and Judah will no longer be hostile toward Ephraim.

Look, I made him a witness to nations, a ruler and commander of nations.”Look, you will summon nations you did not previously know; nations that did not previously know you will run to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he bestows honor on you.

A crushed reed he will not break, a dim wick he will not extinguish; he will faithfully make just decrees.He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for his decrees.”

So know and understand: From the issuing of the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until an anointed one, a prince arrives, there will be a period of seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will again be built, with plaza and moat, but in distressful times.

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

And again Isaiah says,“ The root of Jesse will come, and the one who rises to rule over the Gentiles, in him will the Gentiles hope.”

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be paid back according to what he has done while in the body, whether good or evil.

“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”The king says,“ I will announce the LORD’S decree. He said to me:‘ You are my son! This very day I have become your father!Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your personal property.You will break them with an iron scepter; you will smash them like a potter’s jar!’”

Look, the LORD announces to the entire earth:“ Say to Daughter Zion,‘ Look, your deliverer comes! Look, his reward is with him and his reward goes before him!’”

At that time a root from Jesse will stand like a signal flag for the nations. Nations will look to him for guidance, and his residence will be majestic.

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my one dear Son, in whom I take great delight. Listen to him!”

“ Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on the day of salvation, and they will also be my people. Indeed, I will settle in the midst of you all.” Then you will know that the LORD who rules over all has sent me to you.

“ Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you!

One of their own people will be their leader. Their ruler will come from their own number. I will invite him to approach me, and he will do so. For no one would dare approach me on his own. I, the LORD, affirm it!

For my eyes have seen your salvationthat you have prepared in the presence of all peoples:a light, for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

A shoot will grow out of Jesse’s root stock, a bud will sprout from his roots.The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.Justice will be like a belt around his waist, integrity will be like a belt around his hips.

and said to him,“ Go wash in the pool of Siloam”( which is translated“ sent”). So the blind man went away and washed, and came back seeing.

and will secretly eat her afterbirth and her newborn children( since she has nothing else), because of the severity of the siege by which your enemy will constrict you in your villages.

Pilate told them,“ Take him yourselves and pass judgment on him according to your own law!” The Jewish leaders replied,“ We cannot legally put anyone to death.”

( 12: 1) Ephraim has surrounded me with lies; the house of Israel has surrounded me with deceit. But Judah still roams about with God; he remains faithful to the Holy One.

In the future the mountain of the LORD’s temple will endure as the most important of mountains, and will be the most prominent of hills. All the nations will stream to it,

Then they shouted out,“ Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate asked,“ Shall I crucify your king?” The high priests replied,“ We have no king except Caesar!”

The well which the princes dug, which the leaders of the people opened with their scepters and their staffs.” And from the wilderness they traveled to Mattanah;

All the nations will be assembled before him, and he will separate people one from another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

This is what the sovereign LORD says:“ Look I will raise my hand to the nations; I will raise my signal flag to the peoples. They will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders.Kings will be your children’s guardians; their princesses will nurse your children. With their faces to the ground they will bow down to you and they will lick the dirt on your feet. Then you will recognize that I am the LORD; those who wait patiently for me are not put to shame.

Nations come to your light, kings to your bright light.Look all around you! They all gather and come to you– your sons come from far away and your daughters are escorted by guardians.Then you will look and smile, you will be excited and your heart will swell with pride. For the riches of distant lands will belong to you and the wealth of nations will come to you.

Its boughs were strong, fit for rulers’ scepters; it reached up into the clouds. It stood out because of its height and its many branches.

The LORD who rules over all says,‘ It will someday come to pass that people– residents of many cities– will come.The inhabitants of one will go to another and say,“ Let’s go up at once to ask the favor of the LORD, to seek the LORD who rules over all. Indeed, I’ll go with you.”’Many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD who rules over all and to ask his favor.The LORD who rules over all says,‘ In those days ten people from all languages and nations will grasp hold of– indeed, grab– the robe of one Jew and say,“ Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying:“ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

A fire has gone out from its branch; it has consumed its shoot and its fruit. No strong branch was left in it, nor a scepter to rule.’ This is a lament song, and has become a lament song.”

I will also shake up all the nations, and they will offer their treasures; then I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD who rules over all.

The crowds that went ahead of him and those following kept shouting,“ Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

From this point on, Pilate tried to release him. But the Jewish leaders shouted out,“ If you release this man, you are no friend of Caesar! Everyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar!”
