我心不與同謀、我神不與共會、蓋其乘怒而戕人命、縱欲而斷牛筋、

我心不願與同謀、我意不願與共會、其乘怒而殺人、其縱欲而圮垣。

我心不願與之同謀、我靈不欲與之共會、因其乘怒殺戮人、縱欲殘害牛、

Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.

I won’t share in their plans. I won’t have anything to do with them. They became angry and killed people. They cut the legs of oxen just for the fun of it.

Let my soul come not into their council; O my glory, be not joined to their company. For in their anger they killed men, and in their willfulness they hamstrung oxen.

May I never join in their meetings; may I never be a party to their plans. For in their anger they murdered men, and they crippled oxen just for sport.

May I never enter their council; may I never join their assembly. For in their anger they kill men, and on a whim they hamstring oxen.

雅各對西緬和利未說：「你們連累了我，使我在這地的居民中，就是在迦南人和比利洗人中壞了名聲。我的人丁稀少，他們必聚集來擊殺我，我和全家的人都要被滅絕。」

不要把我的性命和罪人一同除掉，不要把我的生命和好流人血的一同除掉。

因此，我的心歡喜，我的靈快樂；我的肉身也要安然居住。

求你把我隱藏，使我脫離作惡之人的暗謀，脫離作孽之人的擾亂。

我的靈啊，你當醒起！琴瑟啊，當醒起！我自己要極早醒起！

義人的思念是公平；惡人的計謀是詭詐。

我的心哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裏面煩躁？應當仰望神，我還要稱謝他，我當面的拯救，我的神。

你們不要和不信的人同負一軛。義和不義有甚麼相關？光明和黑暗有甚麼相連？

我並未坐在享樂人的會中歡樂；因你的手，我就獨自靜坐，你使我滿心憤慨。

「『暗中擊殺鄰舍的，必受詛咒！』眾百姓要說：『阿們！』

然後要對我自己說：你這個人哪，你有許多財物積存，可供多年享用，只管安安逸逸吃喝快樂吧！』

我未曾與虛妄的人同坐，也不與偽善的人來往。我痛恨惡人的集會，必不與惡人同坐。

使我的靈歌頌你，不致緘默。耶和華－我的神啊，我要稱謝你，直到永遠！

不從惡人的計謀，不站罪人的道路，不坐傲慢人的座位，惟喜愛耶和華的律法，晝夜思想他的律法；這人便為有福！

那藉着律例玩弄奸惡、以權位肆行殘害的，豈能與你交往呢？他們大家聚集攻擊義人，將無辜的人定了死罪。

我的心哪，你要稱頌耶和華！凡在我裏面的，都要稱頌他的聖名！

我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我心疼痛！我的心在我裏面煩躁不安。我不能靜默不言，因我已聽見角聲和打仗的喊聲。

神啊，求你定他們的罪！願他們因自己的計謀跌倒；求你因他們過犯眾多趕逐他們，因為他們背叛了你。

到第三天，他們正疼痛的時候，雅各的兩個兒子，就是底拿的哥哥西緬和利未，各拿刀劍，不動聲色地來到城中，把所有的男丁都殺了，又用刀殺了哈抹和他兒子示劍，把底拿從示劍家裏帶走，就離開了。

他們若說：「你與我們同去，我們要埋伏殺人流血，無故地潛藏，殺害無辜；

神啊，惟願你殺戮惡人；你們好流人血的，離開我去吧！

我兒啊，不要與他們走同一道路，禁止你的腳走他們的路徑。因為他們的腳奔跑行惡，他們急速殺人流血。

不要把我和壞人並作惡的一同除掉；他們跟鄰舍說平安，心裏卻是奸惡。
