以撒年紀老邁，盡享天年，氣絕而死，歸到他的先人那裡。他的兒子以掃和雅各把他安葬了。

照著所賜給我們的恩典，我們各有不同的恩賜：如果是做先知傳道的恩賜，就按照信心的程度用它；如果是服事的，就用在服事上；如果是教導的，就用在教導上；如果是勸勉的，就用在勸勉上；分享的，要慷慨；帶領的，要殷勤；憐憫人的，要甘心樂意。愛，不要虛假；要厭棄惡、持守善；要以弟兄之情彼此相愛，以尊敬之心彼此謙讓，殷勤而不懶惰，靈裡時時火熱，常常服事主。在盼望中要歡喜，在患難裡要忍耐，在禱告上要恆切。要分擔聖徒的缺乏；盡力款待客旅。要祝福那些逼迫你們的人；要祝福，不要詛咒。要與快樂的人一同快樂；與哀哭的人一同哀哭。要彼此同心；不要心高氣傲，而要俯就卑微的人；不要自以為聰明。不要對任何人以惡報惡；要敬重所有的人看為美善的事；如果有可能，盡量在你們的事上與所有的人和睦。各位蒙愛的人哪，不要自己報復，寧可給神的震怒留地步，因為經上記著：「主說：報應在我，我將回報。」不但如此，「如果你的敵人餓了，就給他吃；如果他渴了，就給他喝；因為你這樣做，就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」不要被惡所勝，反要以善勝惡。

請讓僕人回去吧，我要死在本鄉，靠近我父母的墳墓。看哪，你的僕人金罕在這裡，讓他與我主我王一同過去吧。你看怎樣好，就怎樣對待他。」

亞伯拉罕年邁高齡，盡享天年，氣絕而死，歸到他的先人那裡。他的兒子以撒和以實瑪利把他葬在幔利對面、赫提人瑣哈爾的兒子以弗崙田中的麥比拉洞穴裡；那塊地是亞伯拉罕從赫提的子孫們那裡買來的。亞伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉都葬在那裡。亞伯拉罕死了以後，神祝福他的兒子以撒；以撒在比珥-拉海-羅伊附近住下。以下是亞伯拉罕的兒子以實瑪利的譜系：以實瑪利是撒拉的婢女埃及人夏甲為亞伯拉罕所生的。以實瑪利的兒子們，按著他們的譜系，名字如下：以實瑪利的長子是尼拜約，然後是基達、亞德別、米比衫、米施瑪、度瑪、瑪撒、哈達、提瑪、伊突、拿非施和基底瑪。這些是以實瑪利的兒子，他們的名字就成了自己村莊和營寨的名字，他們也成了十二個部族的族長。以實瑪利一生的年歲是一百三十七歲。他氣絕而死，歸到他的先人那裡。
