because of your father’s God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the skies above, blessings of the deep springs below, blessings of the breast and womb.

Joseph, your father’s God helps you. The Mighty God blesses you. He gives you blessings from the sky above. He gives you blessings from the deep springs below. He blesses you with children and with a mother’s milk.

天主又諭之曰、我乃全能之天主、使爾生育眾多、爾後裔必成一族、以至群族、列王皆由爾出、

主立於梯上、或作立於其側曰、我乃耶和華、即爾祖亞伯拉罕之天主、與以撒之天主、爾所臥之地、悉以賜爾及爾後裔、

我儕起、赴伯特利、我遭難時、天主允我禱、我行於路、天主祐我、今我欲在彼為天主建祭臺、

亞伯蘭九十九歲時、主顯現於亞伯蘭諭之曰、我乃全能之天主、爾當奉事我、為全備之人、

我天主因基督耶穌、將循其榮之富有、補爾凡所需者、

蓋身之練習、其益少、惟虔敬、則凡事皆益、有今生來生之應許、

主亦賜福、使我之地出產豐盛、

天主僕摩西於未死之先、為以色列人祝福、其言如左、

爾當先求天主國與其義、則此諸物、必加於爾也、

頌美天主、我主耶穌基督之父、曾因基督、使我受種種神福在天、

耶和華天主照我如日、護我如盾、原文作耶和華天主乃日乃盾主必賜以恩寵尊榮、行動正直者、凡百嘉物、主無不賞賜、

故勿以人而誇、蓋一切屬爾、或保羅、或亞波羅、或磯法、或世界、或生、或死、或今時、或來時、皆屬爾、

對曰、安爾心、勿懼、爾之天主、及爾父之天主、賜財於爾囊中、爾銀我已受之矣、遂出西緬相見、

惟願天主賜爾天之甘露、地之肥壤、穀與酒既豐且盛、

如爾聽主爾天主之命、則必受祝、此諸福必降於爾、臨及爾身、在邑得福得福或作受祝下同在田得福、身之所生、土之所產、畜之所出、牛群羊群得福、爾筐與摶麵之器得福、爾出得福、爾入得福、敵來攻爾、主必使之為爾所敗、彼由一途來攻爾、必由七途逃於爾前、主必使福降於爾倉廩、降於爾所為之事、爾在主爾天主所賜爾之地、必蒙主賜福、如爾謹守主爾天主之誡命、遵行其道、則主必循其所誓於爾、立爾為其聖民、天下萬民、將知爾得稱為主之選民、或作見爾歸在主之名下則畏懼爾、主將加爾以福、爾身之所生、畜之所出、土之所產、俱使蕃衍豐裕、在主爾天主所誓於爾祖欲賜爾之地、主必為爾啟其寶藏、使天隨時降雨於爾土、於凡爾所作者賜福於爾、諸邦之人、必稱貸於爾、而爾無庸稱貸、

論約瑟則曰、願其地蒙主賜福、以天上之寶、以甘露、以地下之淵、以日生之寶、以月產之寶、以古山之首物、以老嶽之異寶、以地及盈地者之寶、以蒙居荊棘者之恩、願此福歸於約瑟之首、或作願居荊棘者之恩歸約瑟之首降於兄弟中最尊者之頂、其榮若首生之牡牛、其角如野牛之角、以將牴觸異邦至於地極、乃以法蓮之萬萬、瑪拿西之千千、○

使我安然歸父家、則我敬主為我之天主、

恐爾意謂我獲此財、盡由己力己能、
