Some time later Joseph was told,“ Your father is ill.” So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim along with him.

俾爾得見子又生子、惟願以色列人得享平康、

荒年未至、安之祭司波提非拉女亞西納、從約瑟生二子、約瑟名長子曰瑪拿西、瑪拿西譯即使忘之義蓋言天主使我忘昔之諸艱苦、及父之家、名次子曰以法蓮、以法蓮譯即昌熾之義蓋言天主於受苦之地、使我昌熾、○

約瑟得見以法蓮之子孫至於三代、瑪拿西子瑪吉所生之子、亦育於約瑟膝前、○

姊妹遣人往告耶穌曰、主、爾所愛者病矣、
