後來打糧食的時候，你們要把五分之一納給法老，四分可以歸你們做地裏的種子，也做你們和你們家口孩童的食物。」

人若不看顧親屬，就是背了真道，比不信的人還不好，不看顧自己家裏的人，更是如此。

只在你們中間存心溫柔，如同母親乳養自己的孩子。

約瑟進去告訴法老說：「我的父親和我的弟兄帶着羊羣牛羣，並一切所有的，從迦南地來了，如今在歌珊地。」

神說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必治死他。』你們倒說：『無論何人對父母說：我所當奉給你的已經作了供獻，他就可以不孝敬父母。』這就是你們藉着遺傳，廢了神的誡命。

他必提起你的精神，奉養你的老，因為是愛慕你的那兒婦所生的。有這兒婦比有七個兒子還好！」
