到了收割的時候，你們要把五分之一給法老，其餘四份可以歸你們自己，作田裡的種子，又作你們以及你們家人和孩子的食物。”

人若不看顧自己的人，尤其不看顧自己一家的人，就是背棄信仰，比不信的人還壞。

約瑟進去稟告法老，說：“我的父親和兄弟們，帶著他們的牛羊和他們所有的一切，都從迦南地來了，現在就在歌珊地。”

神說：‘當孝敬父母’，又說：‘咒罵父母的必被處死’。你們卻說：‘人若對父母說：“我應該給你們的，已經作了獻給神的禮物”，他就可以不孝敬父母了。’你們因為你們的傳統，就廢棄了神的話。

他必甦醒你的生命，養你的老，因為他是愛你的媳婦所生的；有她比有七個兒子更好。”
