Then Jacob left Beersheba, and Israel’s sons took their father Jacob and their children and their wives in the carts that Pharaoh had sent to transport him.

Then Pharaoh called for Moses, and said,“ Go, serve the Lord; only let your flocks and your herds be left behind. Even your little ones may go with you.”

Therefore, our livestock too shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind, for we shall take some of them to serve the Lord our God. And until we arrive there, we ourselves do not know with what we shall serve the Lord.”

And Jacob went down to Egypt, and he and our fathers died there.

Then Jacob stood up and put his children and his wives on camels;and he drove away all his livestock and all his property which he had acquired, the livestock he possessed which he had acquired in Paddan aram, to go to the land of Canaan to his father Isaac.
