Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them,“ Don’t quarrel on the way!”

又因他们所做的工，用爱心格外尊重他们。你们也要彼此和睦。

他们彼此说：“我们在兄弟身上实在有罪。他哀求我们的时候，我们见他心里的愁苦，却不肯听，所以这场苦难临到我们身上。”流便说：“我岂不是对你们说过，不可伤害那孩子吗？只是你们不肯听，所以流他血的罪向我们追讨。”

所以，你们既是神的选民，圣洁蒙爱的人，就要存怜悯、恩慈、谦虚、温柔、忍耐的心。倘若这人与那人有嫌隙，总要彼此包容，彼此饶恕；主怎样饶恕了你们，你们也要怎样饶恕人。

看哪，弟兄和睦同居是何等地善，何等地美！这好比那贵重的油浇在亚伦的头上，流到胡须，又流到他的衣襟；又好比黑门的甘露降在锡安山；因为在那里有耶和华所命定的福，就是永远的生命。

我赐给你们一条新命令，乃是叫你们彼此相爱；我怎样爱你们，你们也要怎样相爱。你们若有彼此相爱的心，众人因此就认出你们是我的门徒了。”

一切苦毒、恼恨、忿怒、嚷闹、毁谤，并一切的恶毒，都当从你们中间除掉；并要以恩慈相待，存怜悯的心，彼此饶恕，正如神在基督里饶恕了你们一样。

你们就要意念相同，爱心相同，有一样的心思，有一样的意念，使我的喜乐可以满足。凡事不可结党，不可贪图虚浮的荣耀；只要存心谦卑，各人看别人比自己强。各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事。你们当以基督耶稣的心为心。

又说：“不可流他的血，可以把他丢在这野地的坑里，不可下手害他。”流便的意思是要救他脱离他们的手，把他归还他的父亲。
