Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.”

Then Joseph remembered his dreams about them. So he said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the places where our land isn’t guarded very well.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them. And he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

And he remembered the dreams he’d had about them many years before. He said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see how vulnerable our land has become.”

Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies. You have come to see the weakness of the land.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he had about them, and he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to look at the undefended parts of our land.”

Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

约瑟做了一梦，告诉他哥哥们，他们就越发恨他。约瑟对他们说：“请听我所做的梦：我们在田里捆禾稼，我的捆起来站着，你们的捆来围着我的捆下拜。”他的哥哥们回答说：“难道你真要作我们的王吗？难道你真要管辖我们吗？”他们就因为他的梦和他的话越发恨他。后来他又做了一梦，也告诉他的哥哥们说：“看哪，我又做了一梦，梦见太阳、月亮，与十一个星向我下拜。”

窥探的人看见一个人从城里出来，就对他说：“求你将进城的路指示我们，我们必恩待你。”

当探子的两个少年人就进去，将喇合与她的父母、弟兄，和她所有的，并她一切的亲眷，都带出来，安置在以色列的营外。

耶和华杀百姓的缘故是因他们同亚伦做了牛犊。

这就是摩西所打发、窥探那地之人的名字。摩西就称嫩的儿子何西阿为约书亚。摩西打发他们去窥探迦南地，说：“你们从南地上山地去，看那地如何，其中所住的民是强是弱，是多是少，所住之地是好是歹，所住之处是营盘是坚城。又看那地土是肥美是瘠薄，其中有树木没有。你们要放开胆量，把那地的果子带些来。”（那时正是葡萄初熟的时候。）

把你们的小兄弟带到我这里来，我便知道你们不是奸细，乃是诚实人。这样，我就把你们的弟兄交给你们，你们也可以在这地做买卖。’”

“你打发人去窥探我所赐给以色列人的迦南地，他们每支派中要打发一个人，都要作首领的。”

妓女喇合因着信，曾和和平平地接待探子，就不与那些不顺从的人一同灭亡。

于是窥探耶稣，打发奸细装作好人，要在他的话上得把柄，好将他交在巡抚的政权之下。

当下，嫩的儿子约书亚从什亭暗暗打发两个人作探子，吩咐说：“你们去窥探那地和耶利哥。”于是二人去了，来到一个妓女名叫喇合的家里，就在那里躺卧。

“那地的主对我们说严厉的话，把我们当作窥探那地的奸细。我们对他说：‘我们是诚实人，并不是奸细。

就打发人去探听，便知道扫罗果然来到。

须要打发你们中间一个人去，把你们的兄弟带来。至于你们，都要囚在这里，好证验你们的话真不真，若不真，我指着法老的性命起誓，你们一定是奸细。”
