这样看来，不是你们，是上帝把我送到这里的。祂使我成为法老的宰相，管理他的家和整个埃及。

我要派你管理我家，我的人民都要遵从你的命令，只有我权力比你大。”法老又说：“我现在派你治理埃及全国。”

后来，埃及全国也闹饥荒，百姓就向法老求粮，法老对他们说：“你们去找约瑟吧，要照他的吩咐做。”饥荒蔓延到整个埃及时，约瑟便开仓卖粮给埃及人。那时，埃及的饥荒非常严重。

抬头看见三个人站在对面，就跑去迎接他们，俯伏在地，

看啊！我要使撒旦的同伙，就是那些假冒犹太人的说谎者，在你面前俯伏下拜，让他们知道你是我所疼爱的。

对父亲说：“约瑟还活着，并且做了埃及的宰相。”雅各惊呆了，不敢相信他们的话。

那两个天使在黄昏的时候来到所多玛，罗得正坐在城门口，看见他们，便起来迎接，俯伏在地上说：
