He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him,“ Make way!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

He also had him ride in a chariot. Joseph was now next in command after Pharaoh. People went in front of Joseph and shouted,“ Get down on your knees!” By doing all these things, Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

告之曰、約瑟尚在、為伊及通國之宰、雅各已心灰、不信其言、

拯之出於諸難、使於伊及王法老前、有智慧、蒙恩寵、法老立之為宰、以治伊及與法老全家、

使在天在地在地下者、聞耶穌名、無膝不屈、

可備王衣之朝服、王乘之御馬、王首戴之王冕、以服與馬付於王臣中最顯者、俾以服衣王所榮之人、又使之乘馬、導之邑衢、宣告其前云、王所榮之人、待之如是、

曰、彼國之主、厲色斥我、以我為偵者、

彼國之主謂我曰、若欲我信爾為篤實、則爾兄弟中必留一人在此、其餘載榖、往救爾家之饑、
