三日間、法老將舉爾首離爾身、懸爾於木、鳥啄爾肉、

此奧秘顯示於我、非為我較天下人有智慧、乃為以夢兆示王、使王憶及心觀之異象、使王憶及心觀之異象或作俾王得知王心之思念

凡先知有夢、則直示為夢、凡得我言、則以誠實示為我言、惟糠與麥、何能比儗、何能比儗或作何同之有此乃主所言、

我二人同夜得夢、夢皆有預兆、在彼、偕我有一希伯來之少者、為侍衛長奴、我儕以夢告之、彼遂以各人所夢、為我解之、後果應如其所解、復臣職而膳長則懸之、

其名但以理、尼布甲尼撒王稱之曰伯提沙撒、心靈性敏、有知識、具聰明、解夢兆、明隱語、釋奧義、釋奧義或作能分辨難解之奧義下同今可召之至、必能解其文字之意、

時但以理在夜間異象中、蒙默示此奧秘、遂祝謝天上之天主、曰、天主智能具備、當頌美其名、永世靡暨、或作但以理曰智慧權能皆屬天主天主之名當讚美直至永遠主更變時序世代、廢王立王、以智慧賜智慧者、以知識賜明哲人、以深奧隱秘之事示人、通悉暗中所有、光明與主偕居、我祝謝頌美列祖之天主、賜我智能、允我所求、以王所問者示我、或作我列祖之天主歟我祝謝頌美主因主以智慧才能賜我允我之禱告以王所問之事示我

爾懸木而殺之耶穌、我祖之天主、已使之復活、

曰、我儕得夢、無人能解、約瑟曰、解夢非由天主乎、請述於我、

約瑟對曰、此非臣所能、惟天主以平康示法老、
