If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Do what is right and then you will be accepted. If you don’t do what is right, sin is waiting at your door to grab you. It desires to control you. But you must rule over it.”

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to you, but you must rule over it.”

You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”

慾孕生惡、惡成生死、

爾宜語義者、必蒙福、必享己行之果報、禍哉惡人、必遭災害、必循其手所作而受報、

天主必視各人所行而報之、凡恆於行善、求尊榮及無壞者、則報以永生、凡違逆不順真理而行不義者、則報以忿怒、以患難窘苦、加諸作惡之人、先猶太人、次希拉人、以尊榮平康、加諸行善之人、先猶太人、次希拉人、

亞伯有信、獻祭於天主、較該隱為美、故蒙天主嘉其所獻而證其為義、是以雖死仍似有言、

兄弟乎、我因天主之憐憫、勸爾獻身為活祭、即聖潔之祭、天主所悅者、是乃爾當然之役也、

豈不知凡凡原文作爾曹獻己為僕僕或作奴下同以事之、則為所事者之僕、或為罪之僕、以致取死、或為順命之僕、以致稱義、

罪藉律法而乘機、使多慾動於我中、無律法、則罪死矣、昔我無律法而生、誡至、罪生而我死、

惡人平素獻祭、猶為可憎、況以惡意而獻之乎、

若爾不如是行、則獲罪於主、亦當知此罪必及爾身、

各國有畏天主而行義者、皆為其所悅、

萬有之主曰、爾屢言獻祭勞煩、遂加輕慢、更以搶奪跛足有疾之牲、獻之為祭、我豈納之於爾手乎、主已言之矣、

萬有之主曰、願爾中有人閉我殿之門、使爾不徒燃火於我祭臺、我不悅爾、不納禮物於爾手、

萬有之主曰、爾獻瞽目之牲、豈非不善不善或作惡事下同乎、獻跛者病者、豈非不善乎、試獻於爾方伯、彼豈納之乎、豈悅爾乎、

亦如活石、被建為神室、又為聖潔之祭司、賴耶穌基督獻天主所悅納之神祭、

惡人雖百次行惡、仍享遐齡、然我知敬畏天主者、在天主前存敬畏心者、終得享福、惡人不敬畏天主、終不得享福、雖長壽、不為長壽、如虛影而已、

為我自示巴攜乳香、自遠方得至美之菖蒲何為哉、爾之火焚祭、必不見納、爾之他祭品、他祭品或作平安祭我亦不悅、

使人頌其恩寵之榮、即緣其愛子所賜我儕之恩寵、

以此而事基督者、為天主所悅、為世人所善、

聽訟庇惡、以直為枉者非善、

寡婦有子孫、當學先行孝行孝或作虔敬於家、以報其親、蓋此為美事、可見納於天主前、
