And Abel also brought an offering— fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,

亞伯有信、獻祭於天主、較該隱為美、故蒙天主嘉其所獻而證其為義、是以雖死仍似有言、

則必以一切初胎之男子、及爾畜中首生之牡畜、皆別之出、奉於主、

由爾貲財獻禮物於主、並薦土產之初實者、以此敬主、

遵律法、諸物皆以血而潔、若不流血、則無赦免、

惟首生之牛、與首生之綿羊山羊不可贖、俱為聖物、以其血灑於祭臺、焚其脂為馨香之火祭獻於主、

記念爾一切供獻、以爾之火焚祭視為豐美、細拉、

有火自主前而降、燬火焚祭與柴與石與塵、並使溝中之水盡涸、

凡居於地、名未錄於自創世時見殺之羔之生命册者、皆將拜此獸、

大衛在彼為主建祭臺、獻火焚祭與平安祭、且呼籲主、主應之、有火自天降於火焚祭臺上、

所羅門祈禱既畢、火自天降、焚其火焚祭與諸祭物、主之榮充盈於殿、

日入而晦、有煙似洪爐之煙、並有已燃之火炬、由剖分之牲牷中而過、

有火出自主前、焚祭臺上火焚祭與脂、民見之歡呼俯伏而拜、

油中酒中五穀中之至佳者、即以色列人所獻於我初熟之物、我亦賜爾、

主之使者伸所執之杖、以杖頭按肉與無酵餅、火自磐出、焚肉與無酵餅、主之使者遂往不復見、

又有火出自主前、燬其獻香者二百五十人、○

乃以基督之寶血、如無疵無玷羔羊之血、基督在創世之先已預定、在此末世為爾曹顯現、

祭司悉焚於祭臺上為火祭、為馨香以饗主、所有之脂皆當獻於主、爾無論居何處、毋食脂與血、為歷代永定之例、

爾曹呼籲爾神之名、我則呼籲主之名、降火顯應之神、即是天主、民曰、斯言甚善、
