But he refused.“ With me in charge,” he told her,“ my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care.

But he refused.“ My master has put me in charge,” he told her.“ Now he doesn’t have to worry about anything in the house. He trusts me to take care of everything he owns.

But he refused and said to his master’s wife,“ Behold, because of me my master has no concern about anything in the house, and he has put everything that he has in my charge.

But Joseph refused.“ Look,” he told her,“ my master trusts me with everything in his entire household.

But he refused.“ Look,” he said to his master’s wife,“ with me here my master does not concern himself with anything in his house, and he has put all that he owns under my authority.

But he refused and said to his master’s wife,“ Look, with me here, my master does not concern himself with anything in the house, and he has put me in charge of all that he owns.

But he refused and said to his master’s wife,“ Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand.

For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil:But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two- edged sword.Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol;So that she findeth not the level path of life: Her ways are unstable, and she knoweth it not.Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me, And depart not from the words of my mouth.Remove thy way far from her, And come not nigh the door of her house;

My son, give me thy heart; And let thine eyes delight in my ways.For a harlot is a deep ditch; And a foreign woman is a narrow pit.Yea, she lieth in wait as a robber, And increaseth the treacherous among men.

My son, keep the commandment of thy father, And forsake not the law of thy mother:Bind them continually upon thy heart; Tie them about thy neck.When thou walkest, it shall lead thee; When thou sleepest, it shall watch over thee; And when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:To keep thee from the evil woman, From the flattery of the foreigner’s tongue.Lust not after her beauty in thy heart; Neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

That they may keep thee from the strange woman, From the foreigner that flattereth with her words.

The mouth of strange women is a deep pit; He that is abhorred of Jehovah shall fall therein.

He that maketh many friends doeth it to his own destruction; But there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

My son, if sinners entice thee, Consent thou not.

The foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knoweth nothing.And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways:Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither; And as for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,Stolen waters are sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

So he that goeth in to his neighbor’s wife; Whosoever toucheth her shall not be unpunished.

Let not thy heart decline to her ways; Go not astray in her paths.For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.Her house is the way to Sheol, Going down to the chambers of death.

To deliver thee from the strange woman, Even from the foreigner that flattereth with her words;That forsaketh the friend of her youth, And forgetteth the covenant of her God:For her house inclineth unto death, And her paths unto the dead;None that go unto her return again, Neither do they attain unto the paths of life:

For wisdom shall enter into thy heart, And knowledge shall be pleasant unto thy soul;
