and Potiphar’s wife soon began to look at him lustfully.“ Come and sleep with me,” she demanded.

After some time his master’s wife looked longingly at Joseph and said,“ Sleep with me.”

And it came about after these events that his master’s wife had her eyes on Joseph, and she said,“ Sleep with me.”

And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said,“ Lie with me.”

And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

After some time his master’s wife looked longingly at Joseph and said,“ Sleep with me.”

“ I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.

So in your prostitution you are the opposite of others; no one runs after you for your favors. You are the very opposite, for you give payment and none is given to you.

“‘ You adulterous wife! You prefer strangers to your own husband!

She too lusted after the Assyrians— governors and commanders, warriors in full dress, mounted horsemen, all handsome young men.I saw that she too defiled herself; both of them went the same way.“ But she carried her prostitution still further. She saw men portrayed on a wall, figures of Chaldeans portrayed in red,with belts around their waists and flowing turbans on their heads; all of them looked like Babylonian chariot officers, natives of Chaldea.As soon as she saw them, she lusted after them and sent messengers to them in Chaldea.

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

“ Oholah engaged in prostitution while she was still mine; and she lusted after her lovers, the Assyrians— warriorsclothed in blue, governors and commanders, all of them handsome young men, and mounted horsemen.

With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed— an accursed brood!

Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

So I came out to meet you; I looked for you and have found you!I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt.I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.Come, let’s drink deeply of love till morning; let’s enjoy ourselves with love!

Therefore the showers have been withheld, and no spring rains have fallen. Yet you have the brazen look of a prostitute; you refuse to blush with shame.

lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel,

the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
