这就应验了耶利米先知的话：“他们用以色列人给祂估定的三十块银子，

但我有一个要求，请你们把抢来的耳环都给我。”原来米甸人属于以实玛利族，都戴金耳环。

米甸和以法的骆驼必成群结队而来，布满你的地面；示巴人必带着黄金和乳香来颂赞耶和华。

被杀的米甸女子名叫哥斯比，她父亲苏珥是米甸人的一个族长。

以色列人对基甸说：“你从米甸人手中救了我们，请你和你的子孙统治我们。”

求你对付他们，如同对付米甸人和基顺河边的西西拉与耶宾。

“你要攻打米甸人，击杀他们。
