人若贏得全世界，卻賠上自己的性命，能得着甚麼益處呢？人要拿出甚麼來對換自己的性命呢？

你為甚麼藐視永恆主的話，行他所看為壞的事；將赫人烏利亞用刀擊殺，而娶了他的妻做你的妻子，借亞捫人的刀去殺害他呢？

拉班對雅各說：『你真是我的骨肉呀你！』雅各就同拉班住了一個月工夫。

『拐帶人口的，無論是把他賣了，或是給人發現還在他手下，他總必須被處死。

如便對他們說：『不可流他的血；把他丟在野地這個坑裏；不可伸手害他。』如便的意思是要援救他脫離他們的手，然後把他送回給他父親。

到了早晨、大衛寫信給約押，由烏利亞經手送去。信裏寫着說：『要派烏利亞到前面戰事劇烈的地方，你們便退到他後邊，讓他被擊殺而死。』當圍守那城的時候、約押知道哪裏有大力氣的人，便將烏利亞配置在哪裏。城裏的人出來，跟約押交戰；兵眾之中、大衛的僕人中有倒斃的，赫人烏利亞也死了。

我對他們說：『我們已盡了力量來贖回我們的族弟兄猶大人、那些賣給外國人的；你們、你們還要賣你們的族弟兄，好讓他們又賣回給我們麼？』他們都不作聲，找不着話來說。

肉桂、荳蔻、香料、香膏、乳香、酒、油、細麵、麥子、牲口、羊、馬、貨車、跟奴僕、就是人口——等貨色。
