哈娜說：「願你的婢女在你眼前蒙恩。」然後她就離開了；她吃了飯，臉上不再有愁容。

請你收下我帶給你的禮物吧！因為神恩待我，我什麼都有了。」雅各再三勸說，他才收下。

摩押女子路得對娜娥米說：「請讓我到田裡去吧，我在誰的眼前蒙恩，就在他的後面撿拾麥穗。」娜娥米對她說：「我的女兒啊，去吧！」

他們說：「你使我們存活了；願我們在我主眼前蒙恩，我們必作法老的奴僕。」

於是雅各變得極其昌盛，擁有許多羊群、婢女、男僕、駱駝和驢子。雅各聽見拉班兒子們說：「雅各奪取了我們父親的一切，他從我們父親所擁有的獲得了這一切財富。」
