He instructed them:“ This is what you are to say to my lord Esau:‘ Your servant Jacob says, I have been staying with Laban and have remained there till now.

像撒拉听从亚伯拉罕，称他为主一样；你们若行善，不怕任何恐吓，就是撒拉的女儿了。

于是他们腰束麻布，头套绳索，来见以色列王，对他说：“你的仆人便．哈达说：‘求你使我的性命存活！’”亚哈说：“他还活着吗？他是我的兄弟！”

“我主请听，你在我们中间是一位尊贵的王子，你可以在我们最好的坟地里埋葬你死了的人，我们必没有人阻止你在他的坟地埋葬你死了的人。”

以扫又问：“我遇见的这一群牲畜，是什么意思呢？”雅各回答：“是要讨我主喜悦的。”

扫罗认出是大卫的声音，就说：“我儿大卫啊！这是你的声音吗？”大卫说：“我主我王啊！是我的声音。”

如果掌权者向你发怒，你不要离开原位，因为柔顺能免大过。

以撒回答以扫，说：“我已经立他作你的主人，又把他所有的兄弟给了他作仆人，并且把五谷和美酒供给他了。我儿啊，我还可以为你作什么呢？”

你若行得好，岂不可以抬起头来吗？你若行得不好，罪就伏在门口了；它要缠住你，你却要制伏它。”

愿万民服事你，愿万族向你下拜，愿你作你兄弟的主人，愿你母亲的子孙向你下拜。咒诅你的，愿他受咒诅；给你祝福的，愿他蒙福。”

我儿，既然你落在你朋友的手中，就要这样行，好解救你自己，你要自己降卑，去恳求你的朋友。

亚伦回答：“求我主不要发烈怒，你知道这人民倾向罪恶。
