He instructed them:“ This is what you are to say to my lord Esau:‘ Your servant Jacob says, I have been staying with Laban and have remained there till now.

因为自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。”

正如撒拉顺服亚伯拉罕，称他为主人。所以，如果你们做对的事，不怕恐吓，就是撒拉的女儿。

他们便腰束麻布，头套绳索，来见以色列王，说：“仆人便·哈达求王开恩饶命啊！”亚哈回答说：“他还活着吗？他是我的兄弟。”

如果当权的人向你大发雷霆，不要因此就离开岗位，因为平心静气能避免大错。

以撒对以扫说：“我已经立他做你的主人，使他的众弟兄做他的仆人，并给他五谷和新酒。孩子啊，我还能为你做什么呢？”

如果你做得对，难道不会蒙悦纳吗？如果你做得不对，罪就蹲在你的门口要控制你，但你必须制服罪。”

孩子啊，你已落入邻人的手中，你当如此自救：要谦卑地向他求情。
