你們還要說：『看哪，你僕人雅各在我們後面。』」因雅各說：「我藉着在我前面送去的禮物給他面子，然後再見他的面，或許他會寬容我。」於是禮物在他前面過去了；那夜，雅各在營中住宿。

雅各說：「不，我若在你眼前蒙恩，就請你從我手裏收下這禮物；因為我見了你的面，如同見了神的面，並且你也寬容了我。

他舉目觀看，看哪，有三個人站在他附近。他一看見，就從帳棚門口跑去迎接他們，俯伏在地，

現在求我主把婢女送來的禮物給跟隨我主的僕人。
