又謂諸兄弟曰、爾可聚石、眾乃取石、積累為垤、共食於垤上、

又对众弟兄说：“你们堆聚石头。”他们就拿石头来堆成一堆，大家便在旁边吃喝。

对弟兄们说：“大家来堆积石头。”他们拿石头堆成一堆，于是在那里，在石堆旁边吃喝。

He said to his relatives,“ Gather some stones.” So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

今爾遍尋吾物、屬於爾家者、爾有所獲、可置之我儕諸兄弟前、俾辨別爾我之是非、

約書亞以由約但河中所取之石十二、立於吉甲、謂以色列人曰、日後倘爾子孫問長上曰、此石何意、當告之曰、此乃證以色列人、昔由乾地過此約但、蓋主爾之天主、使約但之水涸於爾前、待爾皆過、如主爾之天主使紅海涸於民前、待民民原文均作我儕悉過然、使天下萬民、皆知主之力極大、又使爾曹敬畏主爾之天主、至於永遠、

擲石有時、斂石有時、可懷抱有時、不可懷抱有時、

至於爾神像、爾尋獲於誰所、則不容其生、當諸兄弟前、爾視在此有何物屬爾、則可取之、蓋雅各不知拉結已竊拉班之神像也、

謂之曰、當下約但、至主爾天主之匱前、各取一石、循以色列十二支派之數、負之於肩、此石可於爾中為證、日後倘爾子孫問爾曰、此石何意、則曰、昔主之約匱過約但、河水在約匱前絕流、此石在以色列人中、永為證誌以色列人遵約書亞所命而行、於約但河中取石十二、循以色列支派之數、如主命約書亞者、負石至宿處、置之於彼、約書亞又以石十二、立於約但河中、舁約匱祭司足立之所、其石在彼、至今猶存、

將押沙龍屍擲於林中大阱、其上叠一大石壘、以色列人逃遁、各歸其家、家原文作幕○

拉班乃率諸兄弟追之、追七日、至基列山始及之、

堆石成大岡、以掩其上、至今尚存、於是主息其烈怒、故名其地曰亞割亞割譯即禍患之義谷、至今日尚有此名、

雅各在山獻祭、招諸兄弟宴會、宴後宿於山、
