請為我們禱告；因為我們深信自己有無愧的良心，願意在一切事上行事正直。

因此，你們如果真有今生的事要審理，難道讓被教會所藐視的這些人來審嗎？我說這話，是為了使你們羞愧。難道你們中間沒有一個智慧人，能在他的弟兄之間分辨是非嗎？

看哪，你們可以在耶和華和他的受膏者面前指控我：我奪取過誰的牛，奪取過誰的驢子？我欺壓過誰，壓迫過誰？又從誰的手中收取過賄賂，以致我的眼睛被蒙住了？如果是這樣，我必歸還你們。」他們說：「你沒有欺壓過我們，沒有壓迫過我們，也沒有從任何人手中收取過什麼。」

你們在外邦人中，要有良好的品行；這樣，當他們誹謗你們是作惡之人的時候，因看到你們美好的行為，就在神臨到的日子榮耀神。

不過要以溫柔、敬畏的心答覆，並且持守無愧的良心，以致誰詆毀你們在基督裡的良好品行，誰就要在你們受到誹謗的事上蒙羞。

至於你的神像，你在誰那裡找到，誰就不得存活。請你在我們眾兄弟面前，指認我的東西中有什麼是你的，然後把它拿去！」原來雅各並不知道拉結偷了家族神像。

你們和神可以見證：我們對你們這些信的人是多麼聖潔、公義、無可指責的。
