雅各不辭而別，背著亞蘭人拉班偷偷地跑了。他帶著所有的一切渡過幼發拉底河，逃往基列山區。

於是，基甸帶了十個僕人遵命而行。不過，他因為害怕家人和城中的人，不敢在白天行動，便在夜間行動。

這時，耶和華對雅各說：「回到你的家鄉和親族那裡吧！我必與你同在。」於是，雅各就派人把拉結和利亞叫到放羊的地方，對她們說：「我感到你們父親對我不如從前了，但我父親的上帝常與我同在。

於是，他們讓利百加和她的奶媽跟老總管及隨行的人一同離去，並為利百加祝福，說：「我們的妹妹啊，願你成為千萬人之母！願你的後代戰勝仇敵！」

他們讓孩童像羊群一樣走到戶外，盡情地歡跳。他們伴著鈴鼓和豎琴歌唱，在笛聲中歡喜不已。他們一生幸福，安然下到陰間。他們對上帝說，『離開我們，我們不想學習你的道。
