and he drove all his livestock in front of him. He packed all the belongings he had acquired in Paddan aram and set out for the land of Canaan, where his father, Isaac, lived.

and he drove all his livestock ahead of him, along with all the goods he had accumulated in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.

From that time on, Esau hated Jacob because their father had given Jacob the blessing. And Esau began to scheme:“ I will soon be mourning my father’s death. Then I will kill my brother, Jacob.”

One day when Isaac was old and turning blind, he called for Esau, his older son, and said,“ My son.”“ Yes, Father?” Esau replied.“ I am an old man now,” Isaac said,“ and I don’t know when I may die.

and if I return safely to my father’s home, then the Lord will certainly be my God.

So Jacob returned to his father, Isaac, in Mamre, which is near Kiriath arba( now called Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had both lived as foreigners.Isaac lived for 180 years.Then he breathed his last and died at a ripe old age, joining his ancestors in death. And his sons, Esau and Jacob, buried him.
