當日、拉班將牡山羊之有紋理有點者、牝山羊之有點有斑、及有雜白紋者、與㯶色綿羊之羔、悉擇之出、付於己子、使此群羊離雅各三日之程、雅各牧拉班其餘之羊、雅各取楊樹杏樹楓樹之嫩枝、剝皮成紋、使嫩枝之白現露、以所剝之枝、置於飲羊之水溝及水槽、與羊相對、使其來飲時、牝牡相感、羊對枝相感、遂產有紋理有點有斑之羔、雅各以羔區之出、使拉班之羊與此有紋理、及㯶色之羊相對、以己之羊別置一所、不與拉班之羊相雜、遇壯健之羊感合時、雅各置枝於水溝、使羊對枝而感合、羊羸弱之時、則不置枝、自是羸弱者歸拉班、壯健者歸雅各、於是雅各甚富、多有羊群奴婢駝驢焉、拉班眾子議曰、我父所有者、盡為雅各所奪、彼藉我父所有者獲此巨富、雅各聞之、

女子乎、爾須聽須視、須側耳而聽、莫追念爾故國人民及爾父家、

是天主以爾父群畜賜於我、
