人岂能在隐密处藏身，使我看不见他呢？这是耶和华说的。我岂不遍满天和地吗？这是耶和华说的。

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；你也深知我一切所行的。耶和华啊，我舌头上的话，你没有一句不知道的。你前后环绕我，按手在我身上。这样的知识奇妙，是我不能测的；至高，是我不能及的。我往哪里去，躲避你的灵？我往哪里逃，躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那里；我若躺在阴间，你也在那里。我若展开清晨的翅膀，飞到海极居住，就是在那里，你的手必引导我，你的右手也必扶持我。我若说“黑暗必定压碎我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，黑暗对你不再是黑暗，黑夜却如白昼发亮。黑暗和光明，在你看来都是一样。

被造的，没有一样在他面前不是显露的；万物在他眼前都是赤露敞开的，我们必须向他交账。

我若像亚当遮掩自己的过犯，将罪孽藏在怀中；

约拿却起身，逃往他施去躲避耶和华。他下到约帕，遇见一条船要往他施去。约拿付了船费，就上船，与船上的人同往他施，为要躲避耶和华。

“神的眼目观看人的道路，察看他每一脚步。没有黑暗，没有死荫，能给作恶者在那里藏身。

耶和华的眼目无处不在，恶人善人，他都鉴察。

他说：“我是希伯来人，我敬畏耶和华，天上的神，他创造了沧海和陆地。”那些人就大大惧怕，对他说：“你做的是什么事呢？”原来他们已经知道他在躲避耶和华，因为他告诉了他们。

他们显明律法的功用刻在他们心里，他们的良心一同作证—他们的内心挣扎，有时自责，有时为自己辩护。

“虽然他们挖透阴间，我的手必从那里拉出他们；虽然他们爬到天上，我必从那里拿下他们；虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必在那里搜寻，擒拿他们；虽然离开我眼前藏在海底，我必在那里命令蛇咬他们；

有哪些百姓听见神在火中说话的声音，像你听见了还能存活呢？

那时，耶和华从旋风中回答约伯说：

因为耶和华—你的神在你营中走动，要拯救你，将仇敌交给你，所以你的营应当圣洁，免得他见你那里有污秽之物就转身离开你。”

他说：“我在园中听见你的声音，我就害怕；因为我赤身露体，我就藏了起来。”

现在这大火将要吞灭我们，我们何必死呢？若再听见耶和华我们神的声音，我们就必死。

密云将他遮盖，使他不能看见；他周游穹苍。’
