耶和華神又對亞當說：“因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子；地就必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終生勞苦，才能從地裡得吃的。

又对亚当说：“你既听从妻子的话，吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子，地必为你的缘故受咒诅；你必终身劳苦才能从地里得吃的。

又对亚当说：“你既听从你妻子的话，吃了那树上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的缘故受诅咒；你必终生劳苦才能从土地得吃的。

又对亚当说：“你既听从你妻子的话，吃了那树上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的缘故受诅咒；你必终生劳苦才能从土地得吃的。

耶和华上帝又对亚当说：“因为你听从妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的果子，地必因你而受咒诅。你必终生艰辛劳苦，才能吃到地里出产的食物。

耶和华神又对亚当说：“因为你听从了你妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子；地就必因你的缘故受咒诅；你必终生劳苦，才能从地里得吃的。

神又对亚当说：“因为你听从了你妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你‘不可吃’的那棵树的果实，土地就因你的缘故受诅咒；你一生所有的日子都必辛苦，才能从土地得吃的。

又對亞當說：你既聽從妻子的話，吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子，地必為你的緣故受咒詛；你必終身勞苦才能從地裏得吃的。

又對亞當說：「你既聽從你妻子的話，吃了那樹上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的緣故受詛咒；你必終生勞苦才能從土地得吃的。

又對亞當說：「你既聽從你妻子的話，吃了那樹上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的緣故受詛咒；你必終生勞苦才能從土地得吃的。

耶和華上帝又對亞當說：「因為你聽從妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的果子，地必因你而受咒詛。你必終生艱辛勞苦，才能吃到地裡出產的食物。

對亞當永恆主上帝則說：『你既聽了你妻子的話，喫那樹上的果子，就是我吩咐你說：「不可喫」的，那麼土地就必因你的緣故而受咒詛；儘你一生的日子你必勞苦，才能從土地得喫的；

神又對亞當說：「因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你『不可吃』的那棵樹的果實，土地就因你的緣故受詛咒；你一生所有的日子都必辛苦，才能從土地得吃的。

謂亞當曰、爾既聽婦言、食我所禁之果、土必緣爾見詛、爾畢生勤勞、食其所產、

謂亞當曰、爾既聽婦言、食我所禁食之樹果、地必緣爾見詛、爾必畢生勞苦、始得食地之所產、

To Adam he said,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’“ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.

The Lord God said to Adam,“ You listened to your wife’s suggestion. You ate fruit from the tree I warned you about. I said,‘ You must not eat its fruit.’“ So I am putting a curse on the ground because of what you did. All the days of your life you will have to work hard. It will be painful for you to get food from the ground.

And to Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

And to the man he said,“ Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.

And he said to the man,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; With hard labor you shall eat from it All the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said,“ Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it’:“ Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

And He said to Adam,“ Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed[ is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat[ of] it all the days of thy life;

But to Adam he said,“ Because you obeyed your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground thanks to you; in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

To Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and ate from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.

因為被造的萬物服在虛空之下，不是自己願意這樣，而是由於使它屈服的那一位；被造的萬物盼望自己得著釋放，脫離敗壞的奴役，得著神兒女榮耀的自由。我們知道被造的萬物直到現在都一同在痛苦呻吟。

就給他起名叫挪亞，說：“這兒子必使我們從地上的操作和手中的勞苦得著安慰，因為耶和華曾經咒詛這地。”

大地被其上的居民玷污，因為他們犯了律法，違了律例，背了永遠的約。因此，大地被咒詛吞滅，地上的居民要承擔懲罰。因此，地上的居民被焚燒，剩下的人很少。

人的一切勞碌和操心，就是他在日光之下所勞碌的，對自己有甚麼益處呢？其實終其一生，他的擔子既痛苦又煩惱，在夜間也不能安心。這也是虛空。

“婦人所生的日子短少，滿有攪擾；

你們清早起來，很晚才歇息，吃勞碌得來的飯，都是徒然；因為主必使他所愛的安睡。

他終生在黑暗中吃喝，多有愁煩、疾病與憤怨。

患難不從土中生出來，勞碌不由地裡長出來；原來人為勞碌而生，如同火花向上飛揚。

惡人的燈何嘗熄滅？災難何嘗臨到他們身上？神何嘗在忿怒中把痛苦分給他們！

於是，女人見那棵樹的果子好作食物，又悅人的眼目，而且討人喜愛，能使人有智慧，就摘下果子來吃了；又給了和她在一起的丈夫，他也吃了。

我曾用智慧專心尋求查究天下所發生的一切事；原來神給予世人的，是勞苦的擔子，叫他們為此煩惱。我看過日光之下所發生的一切事，不料，一切都是虛空，都是捕風。

因此我恨惡生命，因為在日光之下所發生的事，都使我厭煩。一切都是虛空，都是捕風。

耶和華神吩咐那人說：“園中各樣樹上的果子，你都可以吃；只是那知善惡樹的果子，你不可吃；因為你吃的時候，你必要死。”

然而我們曉得，凡律法所說的，都是對在律法之下的人說的，好讓每一個人都沒有話可講，使全世界的人都伏在神的審判之下。

可是主人對他說：‘你這個又可惡又懶惰的僕人，你既然知道我要在沒有撒種的地方收割，在沒有散播的地方收聚，那你就應該把我的錢存入銀行，到我回來的時候，可以連本帶利收回。

主人說：‘可惡的僕人！我要憑你的口定你的罪。你知道我是嚴厲的人，沒有存的要提取，沒有種的要收割嗎？

傳道者說：虛空的虛空。虛空的虛空，一切都是虛空。人的一切勞碌，就是他在日光之下的勞碌，對自己有甚麼益處呢？

我只吩咐他們這一件事，說：‘你們要聽從我的話，我就作你們的神，你們也作我的子民；你們要遵行我所吩咐的一切道，好使你們蒙福。’他們卻沒有聽從，也不留心，反倒按著他們的計謀，隨從自己頑梗的惡心行事，向後不向前。

因為悖逆與行邪術的罪相同，頑梗與拜虛無偶像一樣，因為你棄絕了耶和華的話，耶和華也棄絕了你作王。”於是掃羅對撒母耳說：“我犯了罪了，我違背了耶和華的命令和你的話，因為我害怕眾人，聽從了他們的話。

耶和華神說：“誰告訴你，你是赤身露體呢？難道你吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子嗎？”

王要回答他們：‘我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既然沒有作在一個最小的身上，就是沒有作在我的身上了。’

我把這些事告訴你們，是要使你們在我裡面有平安。在世上你們有患難，但你們放心，我已經勝了這世界。”

然後，我省察我手所作的一切，和我勞碌所成就的，想不到一切都是虛空，都是捕風，在日光之下毫無益處。

就對他說：‘朋友，你沒有婚筵的禮服，怎能進到這裡來呢？’他就無話可說。

我們因你的怒氣而消滅，因你的烈怒而驚恐。你把我們的罪孽擺在你面前，把我們的隱惡擺在你臉光之中。我們一生的日子都在你的震怒中消逝，我們度盡的年歲好像一聲歎息。
