Instead, go at once to Paddan aram, to the house of your grandfather Bethuel, and marry one of your uncle Laban’s daughters.

Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mother’s brother.

Go at once to Paddan Aram. Go to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel. Find a wife for yourself there. Take her from among the daughters of your mother’s brother Laban.

Arise, go to Paddan-aram to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father, and take as your wife from there one of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother.

When Isaac was forty years old, he married Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan aram and the sister of Laban the Aramean.

Jacob fled to the land of Aram, and there he earned a wife by tending sheep.

These were the sons of Leah and Jacob who were born in Paddan aram, in addition to their daughter, Dinah. The number of Jacob’s descendants( male and female) through Leah was thirty three.

Now that Jacob had returned from Paddan aram, God appeared to him again at Bethel. God blessed him,

I am not worthy of all the unfailing love and faithfulness you have shown to me, your servant. When I left home and crossed the Jordan River, I owned nothing except a walking stick. Now my household fills two large camps!

Then Laban and Bethuel replied,“ The Lord has obviously brought you here, so there is nothing we can say.

So Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Paddan aram to stay with his uncle Laban, his mother’s brother, the son of Bethuel the Aramean.

Soon after this, Abraham heard that Milcah, his brother Nahor’s wife, had borne Nahor eight sons.The oldest was named Uz, the next oldest was Buz, followed by Kemuel( the ancestor of the Arameans),Kesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.( Bethuel became the father of Rebekah.) In addition to these eight sons from Milcah,

Now Rebekah had a brother named Laban, who ran out to meet the man at the spring.

and he drove all his livestock in front of him. He packed all the belongings he had acquired in Paddan aram and set out for the land of Canaan, where his father, Isaac, lived.

Before he had finished praying, he saw a young woman named Rebekah coming out with her water jug on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel, who was the son of Abraham’s brother Nahor and his wife, Milcah.Rebekah was very beautiful and old enough to be married, but she was still a virgin. She went down to the spring, filled her jug, and came up again.Running over to her, the servant said,“ Please give me a little drink of water from your jug.”“ Yes, my lord,” she answered,“ have a drink.” And she quickly lowered her jug from her shoulder and gave him a drink.When she had given him a drink, she said,“ I’ll draw water for your camels, too, until they have had enough to drink.”So she quickly emptied her jug into the watering trough and ran back to the well to draw water for all his camels.The servant watched her in silence, wondering whether or not the Lord had given him success in his mission.Then at last, when the camels had finished drinking, he took out a gold ring for her nose and two large gold bracelets for her wrists.“ Whose daughter are you?” he asked.“ And please tell me, would your father have any room to put us up for the night?”“ I am the daughter of Bethuel,” she replied.“ My grandparents are Nahor and Milcah.

Then he loaded ten of Abraham’s camels with all kinds of expensive gifts from his master, and he traveled to distant Aram naharaim. There he went to the town where Abraham’s brother Nahor had settled.

Then Jacob hurried on, finally arriving in the land of the east.
